The X3 is not really that comparable to the X2 in the way the X1 is...

It costs $800 more. That's a pretty huge difference.

The X3 looks like a single HDD version of the A2.

    I can't believe I don't have a desktop any more...

i'm sorry for your fury and thanks for the great review. this laptop is at $1200 now and newegg. the new price is irresistible and i'm just going to have to get over its garish look. although i'd much prefer compal release a 9800M GPU laptop but i'm just blabbing on again...

edit: i went ahead and ordered it. i will have my own review up soon. newegg is known for their fast shipping huh?

thanks for the review. You said it ran really warm when back is elevated? I use notebook stands and this could be an issue for me. I've noticed with other laptop that elevating certain side can cause overheat. If this is true you should notice that the air coming out gets COOLER when you put it in the offending position. I theorize the heat pipes fail to circulate correctly and so the heat is not transferred to the radiator (hence warmer processors and cooler air exhaust). Please check this. It would really be a flaw if it does this in the rear-elevated position. My p-7811fx does this if you tilt it to the left. Also what's up with the sound and brightness controls? those shouldn't cause any issues and be totally transparent. Ive seen different drivers cause indicators to pop-up (due to drivers). but it should never cause any interuptions etc at all, in any apps. Do you know, does it have IR reciever (does it work?).
Bluetooth-have you tried it? Have you gone through the whole BIOS?-does it have CPU OC in the BIOS or just the turbo app? Any other fun facts about the BIOS? thanks

Just wanted to let people know that this laptop is only $1199.99 at NewEgg now ;o

EDIT: Nevermind, it WAS $1199.99 this morning and now it's back to $1349.99 for some unknown reason.
