V6V/V6Va/V6J/VX1 Owners' Lounge(Best EoL notebook ever)
Is there a way that i could read more faq ,advices or any related issues regarding a specific model,in this case V6V series instead of scrolling through pages? I see there are already owners lounges for different series:V1,V2,W7 and so on.As you could see i am new ,so any answers will be welcome.Thank You!

Re: V6V owners lounge?
Hi, Matisse, and welcome to the forums!
The reason there isn't a V6V (or a V6) lounge is, I believe, that these models are not so popular as the V1, A8, G1 etc. V6V was out earlier when ASUS wasn't so well known (even now it's not very well known), so not many people have it. Some were however still buying it a few months ago
with discounts. The V6J was not a popular model, I suspect it had to do with the price.
I don't think the V6V has any important issues, I've seen none discussed on the forums. That is a good thing, it means it's a very reliable notebook.Notebooks: ASUS F6Ve --- W7Sg --- V6J --- M6BNe

Re: V6V owners lounge?
Indeed,V6V it's a very reliable noteboook, bad thing will not be produce anymore except for the Lamborghini series, which are more expensive and looks a bit different(VX2-hinges).Anyways, I am very happy with mine, it still amaze me after a year of intensive use -6 or 7 hours daily-no issues whatsoever .Thank You for reply.

Re: V6V owners lounge?
The first Lamborghini series were based on the V6 chassis. The newer aren't they are more similar to the V1. The build quality on the V1 is very good, but not on par with the V6.

Re: V6V owners lounge?
I am very happy with my 2 V6Va's, especially now that I have found out, thanks to E. B. E.'s help, that my backup one's only problem is one bad stick of RAM.
I am thinking of starting a thread titled:
V6/VX1 Series (V6V/V6Va/V6J/VX1) Owners' Lounge
Too complicated/confusing a title?Last edited by rahasyavadi; 2nd June 2007 at 04:05 PM.

Re: V6V owners lounge?
Perhaps so... I'm unsure how many people who are active on the forums have VX* of any kind. Perhaps you can simplify it to "V6 Series Owner's Lounge" or "V6V/V6Va/V6J Owner Lounge". Perhaps it's an even better idea to ask a moderator to rename this thread appropriately since it's already gone into this subject.

Re: V6V owners lounge?
Yeah, hmmm ... OK, here is my vote for the renaming of this thread, since I am attached to having any VX1 user who may come by to join in (I may someday get a VX1 and transplant an IPS screen to it, so I want to keep track of issues that come up around the VX1--besides, it truly is part of the family, having the same chassis):
