Default G51JX-A1 Freshly Formatting & Issues Already..

So I just finished formatting from a retail win7 64bit ISO (not the asus OEM copy w/ bloatware) and installed each set of drivers in groups followed by a restart + CClean.

I alrdy have two issues in the Event Log:
WHEA Logger Event ID 17 PCIe Root Port D138 <-- ?! this is why i was told to reformat!!!

I did not install any of the optional Drivers, including Power4Gear

I have the WHEA error before I formatted, why is it back again?!
I was using the 310.4 Verde Nvidia driver, now im back to the 290.10 Driver, still causing an issue... Atleast I think its GPU related

    Please HELP!

I made a few updates to my post, i was able to clean up some of the issues, but not this PCI issue...

Also, does anyone know if turboboost will work without p4g? is there a way of knowing... (testing)

    Hello,

Did you install chipset driver for intel 5 series chipset?

If you did please go to device manager and look for Intel 5 series Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port 1 to whatever the number that is listed on there (It's under "System devices"), right click on them one by one and go to properties and report the Driver provider/Driver date/Driver version that's listed on each of them here.

If the provider is listed as Microsoft, and the date is somewhere around 2006 then you'll need to update them one by one from the device manager.

If you didn't install it, then install the chipset driver for Intel 5 series chipset.

Yes I installed the chipset driver using the intel utility on intels site, becuz I knew the drivers on asus website were garbage. Infact, I gave them a call because the P4G and TurboBoost driver they put under 64-bit win7 only work on 32-bit systems so I gave them for that =D

Port 1-6 are all as follows:
    Microsoft version 6.1.7601.17514
    Date 6/21/2006

How do I update them? thanks

First you'll need to download a chipset driver that comes as .zip, not the already packaged .exe. Extract it after the download is completed.

Then go to Device manager and browse to where you were before then right click on it and choose "Update Driver Software" > "Browse my computer for driver software". And then browse to where you save the chipset driver, under the main folder which the name should be the version of the chipset driver, there should be a folder called "All", select the folder "All" and click on OK and then click on Next then it should verify and install. Do this for each of them.

This worked on my Intel 7 series chipset but not sure if Intel 5 series will also work too. Anyway, worths a shot.

Yea.. it seems like they removed it, but the one on Asus G73JH site should be .zip, not the newest but you can see if you can fix that PCIe error.

Yes G51/60/73(excluding SW) are all using the same chipset, except G73JW has USB3.0. And HM55 is Intel 5 series.
