Intel Chipset Drivers v9.3.0.1021
Intel Chipset Drivers v9.3.0.1021
To ensure proper installation of the Intel Chipset Drivers incase you were not installing them for the first time after a format, do the following:
1) Double click on the exe file you downloaded and when prompted to extract it a folder, add a \chip to the end of the path (this makes it easier to type it in DOS)

2) Copy that folder to the root of your C:\ Partition
3) Press the START MENU button > All Programs > Accessories > then right click on Command Prompt and choose Run As Administrator
4) In the Command Prompt, type:
- cd\ to back to the ROOT of c:
- cd chip to go into the folder Chip
- setup.exe -overall then hit ENTER

Now the drivers will be installed completely because if you don't follow this method, then as soon as you run the setup regularly and hit next, you will notice that the installation completed and nothing happened.
Intel Chipset Drivers have direct impact on performance especially taking into consideration that the last update of the drivers on the ASUS site and previously on the Intel site were 6 months old so I reckon these drivers would bring in better support for the Ivy Bridge!
These chispet drivers now make Turbo Boost run better! I never reached 3.27 GHz. before but now I average between 3.2 to 3.27 on max cpu load which is great!! Hail to the IvyBridge proper support IntelLast edited by Y570; 22nd July 2012 at 06:21 AM.

Re: Intel Chipset Drivers v9.3.0.1021
Sorry but I've to say this is not a proper install. If you use the command -overall -overide, it'll remove the Rapid Storage technology driver and force install the SATA controller that came with the package, it performs a lot worse on 4k read/write IOPS than the rapid storage driver when using with a SSD, you have been warned.

Re: Intel Chipset Drivers v9.3.0.1021
In some cases reinstalling using the Rapid Storage package after force installing SATA controller from the chipset package will fail, I have come across this on my old G73JW, had to use Roll back feature from the device manager.

Re: Intel Chipset Drivers v9.3.0.1021
I had happen to me as well, however, just download the RST F6 driver package and force install the RST drivers through the device manager. Problem solved!
If that doesn't cut it, uninstall everything RST, then force the F6 package install through device manager, that never failed to work for me yet. Installing the RST "control panel" works after forcing the install through the device manager, proof that the RST drivers did install successfully.Current: Precision M6700¦3720qm¦2x240GB SSD + 256GB mSATA¦32GB DDR3 1600MHz¦Firepro M6000

Does this chipset driver work for the ancient core i7-740qm as well?

Re: Intel Chipset Drivers v9.3.0.1021
I'm pretty sure it does, but if it isn't on Intel's download center, it means that it hasn't gone WHQL yet.

Re: Intel Chipset Drivers v9.3.0.1021
It worked fine on my G73Jh with original configuration. I ommited the -override, as that would remove the RST drivers.
