Default ASUS G73SW booting up, no display on screen

hello guys, recently i have a problem with my g73, for some reason it does not show anything on the screen, it boots up, i get windows to load, it plays the sound when you plug in a device, but i don´t plug anything, i tried with two external monitors without success, i am afraid is a problem with the gpu, i would like to know if i can replace the vc, with another 460m or if there is another possible solution for this issue, thanks in advance

You have run out of warranty?

Are you facing the issue right from POST? Not even the ASUS logo at start?

thanks for the reply, warranty is not an option. it does not show anything, not even the post, however windows loads, i can navigate through folders when i get into windows, but it does not show anything. i don´t know where to send it to get it repaired.

Use the hdmi to see if shows in your TV.
Or use vga out in a monitor.

    Either of two things:

LCD is dead or the LCD cable needs re-seating.

GPU has not died, without which there will be no POST or even reaching windows.

If you don't have warranty you could try taking it apart and checking the LCD cables. If that doesn't solve things, you are definitely looking at an LCD change.

Thanks for the answers, just to clarify, my computer will not past POST without a gpu connected, so in my case that i get POST and windows to load without video shown, on both the laptop screen and external monitor, is not because the gpu is dead, but because of the cables set up. i really want this to be true. can this be taken care of at any service center or has it to be specific one, thanks a lot.

Yes service centers (if they know what they are doing) can solve this issue. Which service center do you plan to take it to?
