    Default G73jw partitions

I'm thinking of buying a G73, but I'm planning on dual-booting (I also plan on encrypting 1 partition) and I'd like to know what exactly the initial partition structure is for the 2 500Gb HDDs. Specifically, are documents stored on a separate partition to system files? Are program files? Do games have to be installed to the system partition?

I think hd 1 is split into 2 usable partitions & a recovery partition and hd 2 is one 500gb partition but don't quote me on that.

I had a drivers disk to install everything and it has a recovery partition. I brought a ssd to replace the main 500gb drive that had windows 7 on and hidden recovery partition on the day i brought my g73 so i never really messed with the main drive.

my jw came with one recovery partition and the rest of the hdd not partitioned . I split it into 25% for OS and the remaining for storage as suggested when reinstalling win7.
which still gives me bsod randomly but not frequently.
have yet to figure that one out.

So reinstalling Windows 7 causes BSOD issues? What about restoring to factory condition using the recovery partition?

You can re-install OEM Windows or use a Recovery Partition and it will not cause any BSOD's unless you have a hardware issue. Installing a Dual Boot should not be a problem.
