Default I freaking love ICD7

OK, after some apparently much-needed 'cure time' with ICD7 and using the auto-tune settings for ATI Overdrive, I've managed to get 865/1215 with my 5870, no glitching or artifacts, and it never breaks 87C in Furmark. (I didn't really want to use Furmark but I couldn't think of a better way to test my paste job besides auto-tune.)

Just thought I'd share.

Wow, did you have to raise the voltage for those clocks? I'm just now working on stable OC for my 5870m, and am up to 780/1110.

nope, stock voltage. running chastity's modded vbios, to enable overdrive... and then I just let ATI Overdrive within CCC do its thing.

Haha, nope ... testing room is at 73F as well. Trust me, I'm as in disbelief as you are!

Edit: Just happened to think ... what drivers are you using? I'm on custom 10.9a. I read that they're giving lower temps to people, though no idea why.

Great results. I have the Best Buy version too, and I haven't re-pasted yet. My memory won't clock past 1060 without some serious artifacts on the desktop screen. The core hits 800 with ease. When I get enough nerve, I'll re-paste and then make sure the memory heat pads/tape is in place. I have a theory they are not, but on the other hand all cards are not equal, and I just may have a dud for overclocking.
