There isn't any point in using 10.9a any longer. The 10.10 modded drivers at Guru3D or Rage3D have the PCI-E transfer fixed, around 3 GB/S both ways and the game performance has been solid. Also you don't need to do sign any files or use Windows in test mode. Just run the install and done.

Also the 10.10 are supposed to be released sometime this week according to Terry Makedon.

The 10.10 drivers aren't fix for PCI-E transfer problem. This problem is not caused by drivers so it can't be fixed by them.

It's both. The limiting to 1.1 speeds is a chipset issue.

But before 10.9a, the full speed didn't work with certain intel chipsets with even desktop with PCIe 2.1 and for laptops at v1.1 speeds. 10.9a fixed the issue so those with desktops 2.1 go from the crippled 2 gb/s transfer speed to 6 gb/s. And for laptops running 1.1 speeds from 600 mb/s to 3 gb/s.

Look at the screenshots. v1.1 speed for G73jh should be around 3 GB/s transfer rate. Instead it's as low as 600 mb/s.

So yes it's both and the 10.9a and 10.10 fixed one of them. The other, there is nothing to fix, chipsets don't support full 2.0 speeds.

Nice pictures, thanks for posting. It's exactly that we are saying post before. In 10.9a (modded) the driver is unleashing the max available speed just limited for the mobo chipset which do not allow pci-e max theoretical speed. Regardless this observation, the performance gain in gaming is minimum. The real benefits will be noticeable in stream application.
The real reason to deserve a proper touchpad...

    The rest: G73JH-A1, BIOS 213, vBIOS v93, Catalyst 11.4, X-Fi 1.1 w/Realtek 2.52

Everything seems working fine even the touchpad.

Looking for info from our dedicated tech support....???

If you remove the test mode watermark via a program you will not even know and your system will be just like normal while remaining in test mode.
Or you can just use ReadyDriverPlus (also packaged with my DNA-ATi drivers) that automates the F8 -> Disable Driver Signature Enforcement boot procedure. This is much easier and more user friendly that self signing drivers or using the test-mode and what not

Also (sorry for the double post) I'm willing to try and fix this for you guys as i think there is a simple fix / setting to enable/force PCIe 2* support for any device. If there is anybody here that is willing to give it a try let me know so i can get working on it.

Not for any laptop that uses a mobile intel chipset. It's hardware limited. You can't do any soft modding etc, I could be, very slight chance be wrong. Doesn't hurt to post your idea anyways.

The Intel Mobile PM45 Express Chipset support full PCIe 16x-lanes for the Graphics not? So it should be able to pump trough more data/have more bandwidth than it's doing now?

Hi guys, I have a doubt I don't know if you guys ever faced it: whenever I try to download a new mobility driver, it doesn't have the driver itself - it only have the catalyst control panel
I tried to download using the Util or download individual drivers. I installed using this steps:

    1. Removed previous drivers;
    2. Rebooted
    3. Install new driver and reboot
    4. The resolution is still not the native one and when I enter catalyst control panel, it says the GPU is not supported and quits. I checked the device manager and no ATI driver was installed.

I checked the folder the driver uncompresses itself and no INF file is there... The INF file is there when I use the Asus old driver for my notebook (10.1)... do you have any tips?

    thanks a lot!
