Default rorage's repaste experience (finally)

Ok so finally I have replaced the thermal past eon my GPU with IC diamond.
For those who don't remember my notoriously high temperatures, they went up to 90 on IDLE!

Now they are ~64 degrees Celcius, (the highest is 64 at IDLE, and it's memIO)

EDIT:
furmark does not work since I updated drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled ATI drivers, and both furmark and still does not work but I don't care.
Tried the FEAR build it performance test on maximum and on the log the max temp was :
64.0 72.5 67.0
I expect it to go up to 90 on some games , but I am certain it won't shutdown under 2 minutes of plying :P

A few notes:
The disassembly is pretty straightforward, my laptop works correctly after repasting it even If I did this stuff for the first time on a laptop (a hell lot easier on a Desktop PC)
the hardest cable to remove and reattach is the speaker cable, I broke the metal piece on the motherboard and I was thinking that the speakers weren't going to work, I attached them so the 3 little wires make contact with the motherboard and put tape to apply pressure, and guess what? the speakers work!
edit2:
the screws on the heatsink where pretty hard to unscrew in my case, especially since applying any pressure bend the motherboard, I don't have any tips on that, I had to use a (IDK the name in english it can be used to remove nails from the walls, or gold things, like scissors but not for cutting) to turn the screw around , could have been a bad screw in my case or bad screwdriver who knows.
Also at the end I got inpatient and forgot to screw some screws (the 3 on the motherboard) and had to reopen the laptop <.<
GL and apply paste as well :P
edit3: Apparently my speakers work but my headphones don't
not sure which cable is for the headphones inside the LAptop, trying to fix :|
edit again:
Only my right speaker works, but I am not surprised considering the amount of punishment that cable got, I am surprised of such a bad design by asus, such a bad cable and connector.
edit (final) I reopened it and reconnected the headphones channel, everything is working fine now :P
speaker seems to make sound out of only one channel, but strangely when testing it with the audio manager it says both right and left channel unlike before
edit : writing from my ps3 no keyboard ill just copy my last page post
unfortunately my asus has been send for RMA still awaiting ... after repasting I gamed for a while shuted it of showered , played some more , got hungry and put it to sleep (could the downclocking have caused any harm ) after that couldnt wake up did a hard reset doesnt boot , keyboard lights , it responded to caps button / num lock but nothing showed on the screen , no hdd activity had to rma it , still don't understand what caused it...

FINAL EDIT? I got my unit back from RMA, they did a pretty good job (in France BTW), replaced motherboard and GPU, the thermal paste was done properly as well, I sit at about 59, 65, 56 (Celcius)
probably about 25 ambient (just a guess)
During gaming I got as for now Max 77 88 78 Celcius
Unless the temperatures degrade in the near future, I don't plan on changing the thermal paste :P

Yet another edit:
Part deux, After the RMA my CPU started overheating this time, going as far as 93 degress
my GPU eventually got as far as 98
I've redone both the GPU and CPU.
The GPU seems to be a success idling as 60 degrees, playted L4D 2 got max 85 (memIO)
as for the CPU I am not sure, it seems to idle pretty high (at ~70) but It doesn't seem to go higher than 85, so I can say it was a success as well (partial), maybe I didn't correctly paste it, or I let some air when putting the heatskink
BTW if you are very careful you can repaste the CPU without breaking the seal, or not breaking it completely/making it unnoticeable
after the repaste, I didn't connect well the touchpad, and didn't get leds lights (put the cable upside down, all fixed)
I do have some slight problems, first the caps lock works, but the light is always on, and second pressing the first upper left button (to control the lights) activates or deactivates at random at times turbo mode, while turbo mode button does not work.

about 3 hours, considering that I once forgot to screw some screws and had to reopen it, you could do it I'd say 2.5 hours for the first time ( a guess)

I have also just repasted my GPU and CPU and my temps in Furmark went from 107˚C in about 2 minutes to a max of 87˚C after 20 minutes after repaste with IC Diamond. This was my first time doing this to a laptop and I also broke off the speaker connection on the motherboard and also forgot a few screws that I still have to put back in. For anyone that is thinking about doing it be very very careful of the speaker connection. It took me less than 2 hours to complete minus 2 screws that I still have to put back in.

I punished the speaker cable quite enough, I ripped of a pin on the motherboard, I still manage to connect it somehow and it still works, sound comes only through one speaker but hey
