Re: How to Fix Your GSOD Blues
So is it Asus has not yet officially got to a video bios? I was thinking of getting a JH but am not sure I'd want to go with an unofficial hacked vbios.
I would have thought by now Asus would have fixed this, or is their fix to off the JH and get rid of inventory to replace it by the JW and leave JH owners out to dry.......... ?
Edit if they are leaving JH owners out to dry I have to seriously rethink getting a G73 at all..................Samsung NP700G7C-S01US, Ubuntu 12.10 & Windows 7, i7-3820, BD R/W, GTX 675m, 16GB Ram, 480GB Mushkin SSD Boot & 750GB 7,200 RPM Data, 400 nit 1080p 120Hz screen.

Re: How to Fix Your GSOD Blues
Are you saying these are then there is an "Official vbios"?
Edit; I looked on their support site not only did I not see a vbios I search gsod and there is nothing there as well for the term. This is not very reassuring, I think they have lost a sale as what problem would I have that they would bail on me too.......... ?Samsung NP700G7C-S01US, Ubuntu 12.10 & Windows 7, i7-3820, BD R/W, GTX 675m, 16GB Ram, 480GB Mushkin SSD Boot & 750GB 7,200 RPM Data, 400 nit 1080p 120Hz screen.

Re: How to Fix Your GSOD Blues
The vBIOS was developed and put forth from Asus' R&D Dept, and is being used in current G73JH units and by Asus Support for RMA's.
Do you need it to be any more official?
Asus will not post it on their website since they do not want to support anyone flashing their units. They prefer you RMA it. However, it you mess it up, just RMA and they will fix it still.

Re: How to Fix Your GSOD Blues
Ok I've read the first post, did not read enough I guess. So this is the vBios we will get in a new machine? if not I personally do not consider it fully official let alone the fact none of those files are served from an official Asus server. or the fact of no official anouncement on the site asking people to rma if there is an issue to begin with.
I am not saying it doesn't work nor a great fix but you are leaving the general masses to fend for themselves if they don' have a heads up and official company stance easily accessed from the manufacturers site. I mean that I really doubt every JH owner is coming here and getting the goods.....Samsung NP700G7C-S01US, Ubuntu 12.10 & Windows 7, i7-3820, BD R/W, GTX 675m, 16GB Ram, 480GB Mushkin SSD Boot & 750GB 7,200 RPM Data, 400 nit 1080p 120Hz screen.

Re: How to Fix Your GSOD Blues
No fending for ourselves. Support is handled through the normal channels (as CHastity stated). Have a GSOD problem? Request a RMA, send it in, and Asus updates it for you.
People who have the GSOD issue and know how to research the problem will end up at this site, and will do the update themselves if they choose to.ASUS G73JH-A1 IntelŪ i7-720QM | ATI HD 5870 1GB GDDR5 | 17.3" FHD (1920x1080) LED | 8GB DDR3 1333MHz | 160GB IntelŪ X25-M SSD | 500GB 7200rpm HDD | BD/DVDRW | IntelŪ Advanced-N 6200 Wireless

G73 GSOD Vbios Update on asusrog.com's forum by Asus
You need to understand is that the NBR forum was used for the beta development and testing, which is why the links are homegrown.

Re: How to Fix Your GSOD Blues
I doubt so, as i just got mine. vBIOS is not the latest one. Chastity recommended me to update it, and im getting more frames in games too.
GSOD once on Fur Mark with Catalyst 10.10. Other than that, everything seem ok so far.
Im expecting that im gonna RMA it at least once. :/ I'll fix my Dell first before my G73 have any serious issues.
