Re: Keyboard Lag Debugging
Chastity, still nothing on this from Gary? This is just stupid that this problem has lasted this long with no updates.

From us? Or from Gary?

Re: Keyboard Lag Debugging
I doubt they even care anymore at this point. They've made their money by selling us the units already, why would they bother focusing on a problem that's only reported by a small number of people? They're probably being drowned by overheating units being RMA'd as it is. I'm almost positive that at this point, we're stuck with this issue for good.

Re: Keyboard Lag Debugging
Because the problem is not isolated to this machine only. I purchased a Best Buy G series model (don't recall the exact one) a while back and it had the same exact issue. I returned it the same day.
I waited quite some time before purchasing the G73JH because of the keyboard lag I experienced with a different model. I ultimately caved in because the hardware was too good to pass up.

Re: Keyboard Lag Debugging
I'm going to give it another week or two and then I'm going to RMA. I have the problem where it blasts white noise from the speakers after I exit a game too. I don't think there is a software fix for that either. Sadly, this is actually my second G73. My first one only lasted three days. This one has had the white noise and keyboard lag since I got it. I don't know if the original one had keyboard lag or not. I played Crysis on it on and off over a weekend and it was dead by Monday or Tuesday of that week.
If anyone has a fix for the white noise when exiting a game, please let me know. I think I can live with the keyboard thing since I prefer a mouse anyway, but that noise blasting is getting to be a deal breaker for me.Current: MacBook Pro Retina 15" - i7 3820 - 768GB SSD - 16GB RAM

Re: Keyboard Lag Debugging
I just installed the INF pack and haven't restarted yet.
I had already installed the latest Synaptics which showed some noticeable improvement but no total solution.
I already feel the keyboard more responsive, even when I haven't restarted the system after the INF install.
Do I still need to do that HID thing in device manager?Sager NP9170 04/12/13

Re: Keyboard Lag Debugging
One of the worst applications with the keyboard lag is Skype. I get A LOT of missing strokes when chatting on Skype. After my recent changes it seems to be a lot better but I keep missing some letters in all programs.
