Re: Asus G53, the smaller version of the G73jh
Sager NP8690 - XOTIC PC - (Built on Clevo W860CU) np8690 Gaming Laptop
that one gets gtx 470m, though with only one HDD for 15 inch, then it gets too expensive for the other laptops with it.
OK, does 2 500GB HDDs in RAID 0 get similar performance to a SSD? if so, i will forget the whole SSD thing.

Re: Asus G53, the smaller version of the G73jh
$395 extra for the GTX470M, I´d rather OC the 460M slightly
I´m very happy with my 64Gb SuperTalent SSD as system drive and the original 320Gb as storage drive in my G50VT-B1, even for all the games to keep space on the SSD. I´ve never had any problems in games they might load faster if they where on the SSD but it´s not worth getting a bigger SSD for just some seconds while loading a save game
I thought the G53 isn´t capable of having a RAID config or am I wrong on this?Asus G53JW-A1: (i7 740QM) (64GB SSD & 750GB 7.2K) (GTX460M 1.5GB) (8GB DDR3 1333)

Re: Asus G53, the smaller version of the G73jh
I completely understand being frustrated with the wait and appreciate your kind words. We have provided you nothing short of honest, truthful updates. It's the same thing because it is the honest update of your orders status and unfortunately there is not a update or change of information.
If your order is not up to be fulfilled then you would not be contacted about the hard drive bracket. We would make this contact with a customer when there order is up to be fulfilled (for any back ordered parts).
In regards to the hard drive bracket, we are awaiting for the machines to arrive from ASUS. When a customers order is being allocated a machine they will be asked if they want to remove the 2nd Hard Drive or if they are comfortable with taking apart the laptop to install it, we will ship it when the brackets arrive. We just received this update on the brackets yesterday afternoon so our updates will reflect this to customers right away. (those that are allocated machines)Last edited by Justin@XoticPC; 22nd October 2010 at 07:40 AM.

Re: Asus G53, the smaller version of the G73jh
Is anyone worried that in the video reviews the temps are touching 90 degrees?
I am trying to decide between this and the Sager 8690 and reviews for that model state temps above 75 are abnormal.
