On tis way out of CA...to.Lexington, KY??
I live in AR...hopefully weather in KY is good for delivery and movement
to here. Typically shipements from CA pass thru Dallas..but I guess
time will tell if it gets here tomorrow.

WOW You guys are settling for 200 buck less and also getting a lot less features for that money, i think we, who preordered the A1 for a couple hundred bucks more, will feel more rewarded when UPS guy knock on our door.

When these x-1 start coming in can someone go over how to move your operating system to a new SSD drive. Obviously I could do it with a complete windows 7 CD, but how do you do it with only the restore disk.

Thanks in advance for any help.

.....I don't consider a missing BluRay drive and missing HDD THAT big of a loss for $200 less. I didn't plan on keeping the second HDD in it anyway, and I don't own a single BluRay disk.

Just to be clear the differences are,

    Negatives:
    1. No bag or mouse.
    2. No blue ray
    3. One year less warranty
    4. One less 500gb hard drive

    Positives
    1. $200 less for x-1
    2. Receive up to 2 months sooner

I can see both sides, but you can't argue with the 2 months and $200 side for sure. Also the 2 months are worth more than you think since computers are worth less and less each day due to new technology.

Just boot with your recovery CD, format the partition where the OS is instaled and choose your new drive for a clean install. (do not delete the partition where the recovery files are)
