There aren't too many of the Notebook Extreme [NX] users yet, but from my arbitration, yes. Once completed your G51 is well within grounds for X. There should be a lot more of us ready for candidacy as the desire for modding has sharply risen in the Asus and Clevo forums.

I finally received my goodies from the bankrupt, now under new management, Xoxide. Cold USB fridge is cold.

Is it a peltier usb fridge? If I had money to blow and lots of time, I'd want to mod one of those TEC based usb fridges and put it inside a laptop. Condensation would be the biggest issue to worry about but there's ways around that too.

Yes, it is a peltier fridge. The radiator and fan on the bottom was a dead giveaway. Yes, condensation is a an issue when active refrigeration is used to rapidly lower temperature.

I just put a northbridge heatsink in the fridge to test it out. My room temperature is 20*C with an RH of 62% and the baseplate of the fridge was already beginning to dew after a few minutes. However, according to my temp gun, the heatsink got to a chilly 9.2*C after a minute after taking it out of the box.

You should have picked one up when Xoxide was liquidating it's inventory. They had it for sale for $6 and the flexikeyboard I also got was going for $9.

If only NEC released after market products: http://www.mobilemag.com/2003/07/08/...tebook-module/ USB fridge sounds great, wish I knew about that liquidation sale.

I wonder if I'm X-eligible. Well, I've made presumptions and already had there X in there, anyway. Silly acronyms.

Sorry if the pictures are blurry. They looked clear on the camera.
