Welc. I really need to get one myself. These tops scratch easily. Mine's not a mess YET but it is sure trying. I'm trying some plastic scratch remover and polish, but a protective shield would be the best way to go.

It clips to the top of the existing lid, it doesn't replace anything. See review in my sig for pix.
