You do seem to be going a bit crazy, are you in a bit of a rush???
You seem to be a little stuck with the ACER. That is its the one notebook you seem to be comparing with another. I would personly go for the ACER over IBM.
My reasons are that the ACER looks different, & the 3000 is a great notebook.
In reply to M3post in the
Sony forum (http://www.notebookreview.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=928),...your right... I think that the ACER screen is great. Is the sony better? I dont know, I have seen a sony Xbrite and was impressed, that the limit of my knowledge, thus its pretty much worthless info.
ACER have a pretty good rep for making quality products. They like
dell etc have an extended warrenty option. It will cost you a bit but if require backup then the extended warrenty should provide you with enough cover.
However, IMB makes good notebooks too, an if your main use is for business then this would probably suit you better.
