1710? or it sounds like another laptop with 2 256mb dimms... all i'd want to suggest is if its the core duo/core 2 duo it probably supports ddr2 667mhz ram so your better off getting that, although if you think about it? who will sell their 2 gb sticks for 2 256mb sticks, try offering just money... nobody will probably need those 2 sticks, thats just a small loss you most likely will have to accept...
