No, it's not a scam. The store just is not open for business. That's it.

When you go to checkout it says:

"store is not open for business.
Ordering is allowed for testing purposes only."

Needless to say, when it opens up for business, it doesn't neccessarily mean that the XPS 1710 will be for $1,500.

I would be suspicious if it was.

But we don't know yet.
