Default Question about chargebacks

Hi,
I recently sold my laptop to a buyer in the Phillipines. The only reason I did this was because the buyer used Paypal. A couple months has passed, and now I got a chargeback. Is there any evidence I can provide so that the case will be in my favor? Thanks!

Default Re: Question about chargebacks

We have a webstore and the rare chargebacks can be a pain. Not sure how Paypal is but when we get a chargeback, we have to provide an invoice and shipping confirmation (we ship UPS and you can get a copy of the signature and ship confirmation). If you have these two things, chargebacks are almost always reversed.
We did learn that if we choose to ship to an address that does not match the credit card, there is no guaranty that we will win the chargeback. We had an instance of a college student who used his fathers credit card. The father disputed it and even knew his son ordered it but we still lost since it was not shipped to the billing address and was not ordered by the cardholder.
International orders are tricky because we don't get address verification with International credit cards. We actually don't ship Internationally anymore other than Canada due to the higher instances of Fraud.

Yeah, the problem was that I shipped it to an international address, not the address provided. I feel stupid now... My guess was that the scammer used a stolen credit card.
