Default Thinkin about sellin my 8790, but for how much?

So I hope this is the correct forum for this question. For asking sakes, because I plan on selling my Sager 8790, what should be a fair price for selling it? I’m not using the forum to try and get offers from fellow owners, but a realistic price for this laptop. I also asked in this forum because if you’re reading this in the sager forum, then you probably own a sager already and may know its worth better than I.
My sager 8790 has the following.

Processor Speed (MHz) 3.4GHz

RAM included 2 Gigs

Hard drive’s size (GB) Two 60 Gig, 7200 Rpm 8 Meg buffer(Hitachi Travelstar 7K60)

Diplay type Wide Viewing Angles WSXGA+ Active Matrix with Super Clear Glossy Surface Resolution/1680x1050

Weight(Lbs.) 10.5
Dimension(hxwxd) 1.7"x15.4"x11"

Accessories Included Auto Switch 110/220V AC Adapter, AC power cord.

I purchased this Notebook in or around May/June of 2004, for around 3094.00 shipped.
This laptop does have beauty marks and scratches, but everything works great on it. On the top part of the case near the hinges, there are cracks. This doesn’t seem to effect the computer, it does not make the screen Inoperable via opening and closing . I saw someone selling a 8790 on ebay for 1000 starting bid, or a direct BUY for 1500. I thought that was unrealistic to get 1500... but i could be wrong. Iv been offered 600 from a guy at work so far. Thanks for your input =)

I'd say somewhere between $800-$1000 would be a good price...
