I am selling my Acer Travelmate 8204. No screen problems or built issues or software issues. Everything really is perfect. I know you are probably asking yourself why I am selling it? Good question. It is just too heavy and too powerful for my needs. I don't want you to think that is some kind of tank to carry around. Its only about 6.5 pounds which considering the features on this machine isn't that heavy at all. However, I do more then enough traveling with my unit and this is just alittle too much heft for me. I am instead going to look for an Asus WJ7 or a
sony SZ Premium. If anyone were interested in trading me one of those units I would be open to it.
At any rate, here on the specs on the machine in case some are not familiar with it.
Windows XP PRO
2.0 GHZ Core DUO
WSXGA Wide Screen (1680x1050)
2GB DDR2 Ram (533MHZ)
120GB Hard Drive (5400RPM)
Hot Swapple DVD MULTI BURNER (can switch out for another battery)
ATI X1600 (256MB Dedicated Memory)
9 Cell High Capacity Battery (3 hours + real world battery life

4 USB Ports, 5-1 Memory Card Reader, PC and ExpressCard Slots, DVI, VGA
Carbon Fiber Lid
Shock Mounted Hard Drive
Really everything you could ask for is in this unit. Whether you are a hard core gamer or an office proffessional you are not going to be dissappointed with his machine.
Please feel free to ask any questions that you might have
I am hoping to get in the neighborhood of 1600-1700 for it. Offers will be considered but I don't plan on letting it go for any lower then the number I have mentioned
You can check out my feedback on ebay. I use the same name as here brotzfrog. 100% feedback score. I have also sold several laptops on ebay and just recently one here on notebookreview.com. I am an honest seller with quick shipping. If someone makes me a reasonable offer I will send it out on Thursday USPS Priority Mail. Really no matter where you live in the country you should get it by Monday or Tuesday, at the latest.
I will only except Paypal as that is safest for all of us. Also I am not going to make someone pay for the transaction fee's. If you offer between 1600 and
1700 (NOT INCLUDING SHIPPING) Its yours.
So lets say with USPS PRIORITY MAIL with insurance for 1600, you would get this machine for 1645 or so. I will charge whatever actual estimated shipping costs are. I have the original box and all materials so no packaging fee, and I am not going to charge you for me to handle it.
I did purchase this from another ebayer, and he did give me a copy of the three year warranty. However, Acer does not let you transfer, but he has been willing to work with me and change the address to mind. I should be able to get him to do the same thing. This would give you an extended warranty of two years on top of the one normally included. 3 Year Total Warranty. Now I can't quarantee how effective it will be but again its just a bonus. Just a little add in not figured into the price.
Thanks and happy bidding
