Default Acer Travelmate 8204

I am selling my Acer Travelmate 8204. No screen problems or built issues or software issues. Everything really is perfect. I know you are probably asking yourself why I am selling it? Good question. It is just too heavy and too powerful for my needs. I don't want you to think that is some kind of tank to carry around. Its only about 6.5 pounds which considering the features on this machine isn't that heavy at all. However, I do more then enough traveling with my unit and this is just alittle too much heft for me. I am instead going to look for an Asus WJ7 or a sony SZ Premium. If anyone were interested in trading me one of those units I would be open to it.

At any rate, here on the specs on the machine in case some are not familiar with it.

Windows XP PRO
2.0 GHZ Core DUO
WSXGA Wide Screen (1680x1050)
2GB DDR2 Ram (533MHZ)
120GB Hard Drive (5400RPM)
Hot Swapple DVD MULTI BURNER (can switch out for another battery)
ATI X1600 (256MB Dedicated Memory)
9 Cell High Capacity Battery (3 hours + real world battery life
4 USB Ports, 5-1 Memory Card Reader, PC and ExpressCard Slots, DVI, VGA
Carbon Fiber Lid
Shock Mounted Hard Drive

Really everything you could ask for is in this unit. Whether you are a hard core gamer or an office proffessional you are not going to be dissappointed with his machine.

Please feel free to ask any questions that you might have

I am hoping to get in the neighborhood of 1600-1700 for it. Offers will be considered but I don't plan on letting it go for any lower then the number I have mentioned

You can check out my feedback on ebay. I use the same name as here brotzfrog. 100% feedback score. I have also sold several laptops on ebay and just recently one here on notebookreview.com. I am an honest seller with quick shipping. If someone makes me a reasonable offer I will send it out on Thursday USPS Priority Mail. Really no matter where you live in the country you should get it by Monday or Tuesday, at the latest.

I will only except Paypal as that is safest for all of us. Also I am not going to make someone pay for the transaction fee's. If you offer between 1600 and 1700 (NOT INCLUDING SHIPPING) Its yours.

So lets say with USPS PRIORITY MAIL with insurance for 1600, you would get this machine for 1645 or so. I will charge whatever actual estimated shipping costs are. I have the original box and all materials so no packaging fee, and I am not going to charge you for me to handle it.

I did purchase this from another ebayer, and he did give me a copy of the three year warranty. However, Acer does not let you transfer, but he has been willing to work with me and change the address to mind. I should be able to get him to do the same thing. This would give you an extended warranty of two years on top of the one normally included. 3 Year Total Warranty. Now I can't quarantee how effective it will be but again its just a bonus. Just a little add in not figured into the price.

Thanks and happy bidding

I'm very much interested in trading you my vaio sz. The thing is I'm in Kuwait. I've been thinking on how we would carry out the trade, the only solution is that either you know someone here in Kuwait or I know someone in the States. May you please PM me on where are you from and how much are you willing to pay for the trade?

I appreciate your interest Bobdare, but I am not aware of any friends of mine being in Kuwait Sorry. Thanks for the offer.

Also to any other interested buyers I will be posting pics later this afternoon. I am at work and will have to wait until I get home. If I don't get any real interest in the next couple of days I will put the laptop up for sale on ebay. I wanted to give some real computer geeks a shot at it first.

Thanks

some pics of the machine. This really is a great machine. Definitely a desktop replacement but still light enough to be carried around occassional or for short distances. Very powerful, well built, and really just in flawless condition.

I am really surprised that no one likes this notebook. I see quite a few people have viewed the thread. Is there something I can do to sweeten the deal? Feel free to make any offers. All reasonable ones will be considered

I am sorry to see that interest has slipped so much. I am prepared to go $1400 shipped. I really want to get this deal done. Thanks

I too would love to trade with you, but I doubt you would want my FJ(specs in my sig). Its 3 weeks old, no scratches or anything, prepared to offer it with a 1GB iPod nano (brand new still in box), but I dont think it will interest you
