Default FS: BRAND NEW IBM THINKPAD R52 Model: 1860-2NU w/ 3 year warranty

IBM Laptop R52 $1100 or best offer

Model Number: 1860-2nu
http://www-131.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/st...catalogId=-840
that's the original manufacture's website for the product listed. It contains specifications and information.
IBM's total pricing comes out to $2038.94 with all the options I've included.
If you buy it here, you save the wait time (customs and shipping delays from Hong Kong), and 400 dollars.

This is a new computer (brand new) with original packaging.
I just received it yesterday from IBM (01/12/2006), directly.
I'm selling it because I'm going to purchase a new computer.
I'm currently a student at college, the r52 is too large for my taste; and I'll be looking into an ultra portable next.

This computer comes with a stick of 256mb ram that isn't included with the original manufacture specs.
I ordered/customized this memory directly from lenovo, so it is certified and authorized.
The total system memory is now 768mb.
It also comes with a 3 year warranty that is backed by IBM.

This really is a good computer and quite a steal.
Thinkpads are known for their legendary quality, longevity, and performance.

Intel Pentium M Proccessory 750 (1.86Ghz)
768mb DDR2 PC2-4200 (533Mhz)

What is your reason for selling, and is the computer like new or really new, and never used? Has it been turned on?

I'm actually selling it cause it isn't small enough or light enough. I wanted something I can carry around campus, to and from class for the whole day. I'm thinking about getting a X series, or a Sony TX.

The computer has not been turned on before, the condition is still just as it was when I received the package; everything is completely new.

That 1 is way better than yours and much cheaper too. I think you should adjust your price by alot!!

I think there are several reasons that that model is less advantageous. Mainly, the model you specified only has a 1 year warranty, while the model that I offer posesses a 3 year warranty. Furthermore, the weight of the other laptop is heavier, granted that it has a 15 in. screen; I believe that 14.1 inches is the optimal size for a laptop screen, it offers both a balance between size, power and battery life. To add upon that, the memory on my laptop has been increased. I think both of the laptops have their advantages and disadvantages. I would say that mine would be tailored more for more mobile users. I stand by my pricing, though I will take your opinions into consideration. Thanks for your input though.
