This pup is too new to get working with linux so bye bye lappy and linux and hello Mac. It's a great machine, light (the lightest/thinest 4.2 pounds 15incher in the world I believe), big 15 inch screen and is really really quite. I paid $3K for this sucker as they only sell em in Canada! The warranty is good for 2 years+ still and you just send it off to them and they will fix it.

Specs are:

6 months old, 1.8 Mhz Centrino :centrino: with 512Megs Ram, 15 inch (non widescreen) SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 max res and only 2.3kg. 2 batteries normal one and larger 9 cell. Gigabit ethernet, PCI Express, Sata (yes Sata!) 60 gig harddrive, Intel 915 chipset, DDR II memory. Super Multi DVD burner, 3 Usb 2.0 ports. ATI's RADEON X600 128MB video memory. Wifi. SD card slot. Screen is in excellent condition with one microscopic area of wear that is un-noticable except with the screen is off and flashlight shining on the screen - yes I am a prefectionist!

(a note about the heat issue that the bloke talks about in this review - I've never had ANY problems with heat, crashing or anythink like that. I didn't get this machine to play games on but it's wickedly fast so I presume you could play anything on this pup, also this model is the 1.8 Ghz version so it's probably runs cooler)

Any REASONABLE offer considered, hint I want to get a new Mac ibook/Powerbook with Applecare.

No scams, no money orders or bouncy checks. I am located in CO USA and will have to talk to you in person before we even talk about exchanging lappy and money. This is a beautiful looking machine, why squint at a tiny little screen when you can have a 15 incher with the weight of a 12 incher and you be one a handful of blokes in the US who has an LG! Can send hi rez photos of the pup too.

Cheers
Richard

I have an idea, but it'll sound a little unusual: I'm trying to sell that HP nx6125 and have had no luck so far, so what do you think of trading this bad girl for the nx6125 plus some cash?

In case you're wondering there is an x86 version of MacOS out there (I can help you find it) and it should run on the Turion's 32-bit mode. Ubuntu Linux will probably support it too; their hardware support record is amazing.

Okay, how does the nx6125 plus $500 U.S. sound? I've got the thing for sale on E-Bay now so if you want to do this better tell me quick before someone bids on E-Bay...

Thanks for the offer but I really want a powerbook or ibook - let me know if you sell her and the total you can come up with.

Ok, I have just listed this on craigs list for $1700! Holy ****e, that's a steal, perhaps this should go down as the most lost on a laptop ever - "a fool and his money ......."

My loss, your gain!

I'd be willing to offer you the nx6125 plus $600 US. With the x86 version of OSX you should have a Mac environment, and the total money involved ($1350 after all was said and done for the nx6125 plus $600 extra) will go way over the $1700 you posted for on Craig's List. Heck, even the other offer wouldhave. Want me to make it a round $2000 by adding $650?

Sorry but I have two other Intel laptops and don't need another - I need cold hard cash to buy a powerbook! - sell you kit and then give me a shout. I'm done with linux.

Hello!

What is the batter power like on the laptop, how long does it run on battery?

Thanks!

I run linux and ACPI (power management) is messed up but I get about 3 hours on the big battery. This is with the screen on full brightness, surfing the web somtime playing mp3s. With XP on a nice power save profile I guess about 4 hours.

Probly not my question to answer but hey i'll answer anyways.
He states his got the two batteries you can get with the LG machines. Both the 6 cell and the 9 cell batteries. With 6 Celled battery i could get aprox 3.5hrs and the 9 cell is about 6hr+ but then again i've got a totaly different model than he does. so who knows.
