I'm selling a IBM T61 laptop. I decided I wanted a different one before I even received it, so I'm putting this one up for sale. I only opened the package to take the pictures and make sure it started up. I bought it direct from Lenovo refurbished. It is in PERFECT shape; I can see no flaws on it. The full specs are listed below. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I was about to buy a lenovo with these specs for 921 new, Is it possible you would bring your price a bit lower...

I'm willing to work with you a bit. The specs on yours are a bit different, but fairly close. PM me with what you were thinking, and we'll see if we can work out a deal. I'm surprised you got it configured so low. When I went on today, it was configuring for a little over $1000.

Nevermind, I found a better deal using ibm epp and coupons. How did you make it to 1K if the lowest processor they currently offer is a peyrn and the smallest HDD is 80GB, which is slightly better than what you have.The only real gripe was that I realized yours was already used even before you had it, so its not really comparing apples to apples.

I basically got the one you had except with a discrete 140m and t8100 for $828.

Yup, those Lenovo coupons are great for people looking to buy, sucks for people looking to sell used though.
One of the reasons I'll never consider selling my T61.

Well: the processor you're referring to is a 2.1 3MB L2, and mine is a 2.2 4MB L2. Maybe there's another difference I'm missing. The HDD they offer is an 80GB 5400rpm. Mine is 60GB 7200rpm. It's personal preference I suppose, but I would rather have the faster drive, because as I understand it, they are the primary bottleneck in current laptops. Mine is refurbished, but according to Lenovo's website, that just means it may have been opened or turned on. I haven't used it at all. Just turned it on to make sure it worked and had no dead pixels. Mine has the same Lenovo warranty as a brand new one, and looks and functions exactly the same.

Plus, not all of us get to use the Lenovo EPP program.

Actually the peryrn 8100 is a newer processor so it is about the same as the older 2.2GHZ . HDD, 80GB will be slightly faster because it has a higher density, hdd 101, lol. EPP is the same BS as for Dell, all you put is small business or school. You have a good rig, but I would get it at most for 750 as for 828 you get a brand new system with peace of mind.

But, I am not judging as I already ordered a new system, but I can cancel anytime. BTW if you dont want your system and you claim the you just received it, they do have something like a 20 day grace period to give it back unless you are not disclosing something.
