[WTB] Cheap ultraportable

Hi,

All my laptops have been loaned out so I'm looking for an ultraportable that's cheap (doesn't have to be very fast) for taking notes. Keyboard can't be too cramped though. I need 3 hours of battery though.

I've sold and bought on this forum before as well as on Anandtech and Hardforum.

Look for an older X series ThinkPad notebook on eBay.

I have an x41t (currently on loan to a friend who dropped his dell latitude) and I don't think it has the battery life, even with the extended battery, I only get 2.5 with low brightness.

I was hoping for a 12-13 inch notebook. The stepnote seems pretty good.

Maybe the battery on the X41 is old. The extended battery on the X41 should go way longer than 2.5 hours.

Hmmm... I was guessing my wear on the batt was getting a bit large. Still... I welcome any sellers offering a small laptop with 3+ hrs in the 500-1000 range.

I have a Toshiba R100..
12.1" inch screen
only 2.4LBS

Its really thin and light and I've used it to take notes and stuff in class. It comes with an extended battery which lasts around 5 hours...
