Default What should I ask ??? Inspiron 1520

I got an inspiron 1520 about two weeks ago (i cannot return it since my brother paid for it, and he wont let me return it. His thing is that it was a gift) but I really want a smaller computer.

Here is the specs

Espresso Brown
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7500 (2.2GHz/800Mhz FSB/4MB cache)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Basic Edition
High Resolution, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch display (1680x1050)
256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT
3GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 at 667MHz
120GB SATA Hard Drive (7200RPM)
CD / DVD writer (DVD+/-RW Drive)
Dell Wireless 1505 Wireless-N Mini-card
Built-in Bluetooth capability (2.0 EDR)
Integrated 2.0M Pixel Webcam
6-cell Primary Battery and 9-cell additional Lithium Ion Battery
High Definition Audio 2.0

The computer was shipped with 1 gb, and he later added a 2 + 1 configuration, and the original ram would be included

The list is $1764 on Dell's website, I am sure there are some deals out there, but I would like to know what are fair price for this would be.

I just need the money.

you have a very generous brother i'm not sure but $1,400-1,500 seems like a good price.

I'd say about $1100-$1200. At least that's how much people are selling them on ebay with your configurations.

honestly i think the price for this config is no more than $1250.00 because its exactly like mine but has a chassis color brown (+$25.00), OS cheaper than mine (-$100.00), better resolution LCD (+$50.00), extra 1GB of RAM (+$100.00), bluetooth(+$20.00) and also a 9 cell battery

1 more gig of aftermarket ram is not worth 100

1 gig aftermarket drops to $15 CAD at ncix surprise sale, and that is new... (and its corsair ram

in fact, you can get 1x2gb sodimm pc 5400 ram for 60 bucks (last week surprise sale = was $43)

Ya i dont think we paid too much for the ram, I guess we will have to see, prehaps I will list it, maybe not, this thing is FAST, especially since I formatted it with XP Professional. To be honest, I think Vista is a joke... and I am a former MAC user.
