Default New Asus U6S-X1 Selling

Just got this laptop a week ago and I need something different in terms of battery life for my job. Everything is brand new and I've only taken it out of the box to test and see how it performs and everything is amazing besides the battery. You can buy a 9-cell battery but I've spent enough money already on this.

From Best Buy for originally $1,853.28 (after tax of course, before tax is 1,699)

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1192835692178

Everything works great and just blows me away how amazing it actually is and I'm sad I need to part with this laptop for something more suitable for my job. I'm willing to sell it for $1550 or BEST OFFER, plus shipping to your area (since Best Buy's retarded 15% will cost me 255 just to return it). So this is basically the same selling it here as taking it back to best buy but I figured someone would make a great deal out of this instead.

Payment can be through paypay or pm me if you want to discuss other methods (I'm in the Houston, Tx area). I have some feedback on ebay (username is the same, creature0077).

Hit me up here for any questions or photos of the laptop!

(copied and pasted from best buy, actually has a couple more cool things like the leather palm rest and the SIM card slot but I'm not sure how to test that out to see how it works, has a fingerprint biometric scanner, webcam and mic, lightscribe dvd burner, and so on more things, just ask!)

Thanks for reminding me about the bst rules. I'll include the proof of purchase next week when my co-worker gets back into town to give it to me.

The thing about the higher capacity battery is I'm unsure what battery to buy because I called Asus and they said they don't currently have an extended battery listed for the laptop but I've heard of a 9-cell battery but can't find it plus it'll be another 150 I'm sure. Currently has a 2400mAh battery that lasts around an hour (I suppose you can make it go longer but I need a minimum of 3 hrs). I think the 9-cell is 7800mAh but haven't found any reviews about people using the extended battery so I'm not going to risk more money into this.

i quoted things incorrectly. i meant to say proof of ownership. for that, all you have to do is write your name on a piece of paper next to the notebook, or have a picture of this thread on your lcd screen.

No harm done, I misread the bst rules too, I didn't catch it saying ownership. :-)

You might want to double check that for potential buyers.

Sorry it has the Nvidia GeForce Go 8400M G with 128MB. I'm surprised best buy messed that one up. That's the major reason the battery life isn't as long as I hoped. Cool thing about the video card is that it runs with direct 10 and pixel shader 4.0 if I'm not mistaken. So it should run most of the new (if not all of them) games that are out. You can read about it on nvidaia's website.

The 8400M G is not a gamers card. Its a dedicated graphics card, but it really isn't that good for newer games. I'd say its fine for anything before 2005 or so, but current games need to be run at lowest settings, otherwise you get all of about...10 fps. Need For Speed Pro Street, for example. I installed the demo to check it out, and just to get it to run above 20fps, I had to take the settings ALL the way down - 640x480 res and everything...
