Default Feeler: Toshiba M30X for $300

I have a Toshiba M30X laptop that I'm trying to get a feel for the market for this laptop.
It has:
  • Intel 1.6 ghz Pentium M Centrino
  • Wireless 802.11 (I think b?)
  • DVD/CD-RW
  • Intel Extreme Graphics 2
  • 15" 1024x768 LCD
  • 512 RAM
  • 60GB HD

Should I ask for more or less for this? On my local craigslist laptops like this with Celeron's and 256 RAM are asking $400, but who said they'll ever sell?

put it on ebay man, chances are you will get your best price there. Selling anything on the forums is pretty much a waste of time... it takes too long. Ive tried selling so many things (hhds, processors, etc, ram...etC) and i always end up listing it on ebay...

btw: asking ppl what they would offer is useless b/c anyone can offer any amount b/c they dont actually plan on buying it. They might tell you what they think it is worth, but then again you can probably make an equal guess yourself.

400-500 seems like a pretty fair price right now. good luck!

Yeah, thats true, but I'm just trying to see what the market is for this kind of equipment (the non dual core era of lappies) as I wasnt entirely sure what they were worth.
I know even though its older its a heck of a lot better than those crappy sub-$400 laptops that are selling brand new right now though, so it should still get a decent price.

I'd say 300$ with a little plus or minus is about it.

For 400$ there are alot of celeron deals, brand new and even some AMD dual cores.

Meh, since it was free and its a great notebook as it is I think I'll just hang onto it and use it to autoguide my imaging telescope instead of selling it.
