I've heard it is best to get them online... but there is a way to see in the store if they are 7200 models or not, but I forget the link... you might find searching google.

About the only negative is that it only comes with a one year warranty vs. a three year warranty for one purchased at zipzoomfly.com which is $190 (free shipping). Worth the savings? Dunno... mine was already in the mail when I purchased at zipzoomfly so I kept it when it arrived. Plus, not knowing if you would get the 5400 or 7200 put me off as well... don't want to play that game.

This drive rocks... I can't figure out how anyone in their right mind would say 7200 drives are not worth the extra cash... after looking at my computer with 5400 vs. 7200, I'd say they are wrong....

Anyway, yea, if you search you will find info.. or maybe someone will save you the time and post the link to the info....

sorry for three posts... above is the link... search in google: H2200U 5400 or 7200

and you will find all the info you need, if you want to go this route.

says: There seems to be at least 2 different batches of these drives. It looks like the 7200rpm drives have the serial number sticker on the bottom of the package, with the S/N starting with "DTG". The ones with the 5400rpm drive has a the S/N sticker on the back of the packaging starting with some number other than "DTG".

Yeah, I went to BB today to buy one (and bought it) and it was only a 5400 - I was kinda pissed since they only had ones with stickers on the back (not the bottom) and didn't start with DTG...

IDK where else to look as there's only one BB around me.
