Default Price check on used Z33A

The person is selling a used Z33a

Centrino 1.7
- extended battery (up to 7hrs)
- 256Mb (expandable up to 768Mb)
- 80Gb Hard Drive


How much should I offer for it?

(he's asking $550 canadian for it)

well if there is NO warranty, integrated graphics.....I'd say not more than $300-$400

Comp usa is selling a 12.1" Everex notebook in the $500-600 range.

I'd actually just go for the Z33. The W5 hasn't fallen anywhere near the $600 range yet, and anyhow there aren't many of them for sale right now. The other $600 ultraportables I can think of (used Sony TR and T series, etc) are all using much less powerful ULV processors, so the Z33 is probably pretty decent compared to those.

I'd give $300 for it, if its in good condition.

Yeah the person doesn't seem to want to budge under $500..

I know the extended battery adds a bit of value, but i donno.

EDIT: I'd also be open to 13.3" laptops as well at this price range if you have any suggestions.

any suggestions on any 13.3" in this price range?

If the deal was good, i could go up as high as 7 or 8 hundred shipped.

Maybe look for a cheap used Sony S series (4.2lbs, 13", and an nVidia Go6200) or (dare I say it) Macbook. Potentially, a refurb Sony C series could work as well.
