Re: Price check on used Z33A
I'd actually just go for the Z33. The W5 hasn't fallen anywhere near the $600 range yet, and anyhow there aren't many of them for sale right now. The other $600 ultraportables I can think of (used Sony TR and T series, etc) are all using much less powerful ULV processors, so the Z33 is probably pretty decent compared to those.
I'd give $300 for it, if its in good condition.

Re: Price check on used Z33A
Yeah the person doesn't seem to want to budge under $500..
I know the extended battery adds a bit of value, but i donno.
i was offered this system as well, a z33ae with warranty still until December
* Pentium M 1.73GHz SL7SA Processor
* 1 gig ram
* Samsung 120GB (HM120JC) Harddrive
* CD/DVD drive
* 4-in-1 Card Reader (SD, MMC, MS, MS Pro support)
* Combo 8X DVD - 24x24x24 CD-RW Drive
* Built-in IEEE-1394 Port
* Chipset: Intel 915GM (up to 128mb shared video memory) + ICH6
* Built-in 56k V.90/V.92 Modem RJ-11
* Built in IntelPRO 2200 802.11b/g Wireless LAN
* Integrated Realtek RTL8139 10/100 Ethernet
* 12.1" XGA (1024x768) TFT screen
* 10.8" x 9.25" x 0.96-1.17" (WxDxH) about 3.3lbs with 3cell battery
* 3 cell battery
* PCMCIA: 1 Type II PCMCIA 2.1 slot (Ricoh R5C593) Supports 32-bit CardBus
what would you offer for that?
EDIT: I'd also be open to 13.3" laptops as well at this price range if you have any suggestions.

Re: Price check on used Z33A
Maybe look for a cheap used Sony S series (4.2lbs, 13", and an nVidia Go6200) or (dare I say it) Macbook. Potentially, a refurb Sony C series could work as well.
