Re: Take this offer?
$750 looks like a good deal. you try finding price around the internet on how much would it cost to buy new?

Re: Take this offer?
I'm not sure about this offer, the price isn't bad but it's not that good either. Why would you do it unless you really need the money or need a faster/newer/other laptop? You wont get these specs for just 750$ again if you need to replace it.

Re: Take this offer?
$750 seems slightly better than most prices I see, although it's hard to tell, I have the nice screen (it's the better LG screen, not the dimmer Samsung), the video card and some warranty left...
I have a buyer, no hassle, no haggle. Avoiding Craigslist and e-bay is prolly worth $50 to me, lol
Part of me says I can use this computer for 2 more years and sell it for ~$500.
I have a MacBook Pro and a junky, but solid Windows desktop, so, it's not like I really NEED to keep the Inspiron. I'd prolly wait until spring and see if the new chips are nice and if the smaller 13" designs improve a little bit.
I kinda want a small, but powerful (but not gaming) laptop.
There's nothing special about the 1505. It's kinda ugly, kinda heavy, kinda bulky, but it performs well.
I prolly should have asked for $800, to make it more of a no brainer for me.
I got it using a 40% Dell Coupon, so, I got a decent deal on it originally.

Yeah, seems like I could use this laptop for 2 more years.
The specs are fairly decent, I don't game on laptops, and it's going to be a while before performance REALLY outshines this thing.
I got this one to replace my 3GHz P4 laptop, which I never liked. Heavy, kinda slow, and HOT. The fan always ran.
This is why I've been back and forth on it.
Eventually, I would replace this with a much more portable Windows laptop in the 13" range.

I've prolly been in the Apple forum more lately... I have a MacBook Pro as well...
I like the Dell. Love the LG screen, it's stable, quiet, and fast. Part of the reason I should keep it is that it does run so well.

$1150 US?
I really doubt I could get $1000US for it. It's a used (in like new condition) Dell laptop?
I don't see any e-bay auctions anywhere near $1000.
I used a coupon and got it for $1250, so, $1150 would be exceptional... and highly unrealistic.

Re: Take this offer?
Well, to buy a new similarly-configured Vostro 1500 (with 8400M GS) would cost around $1250 or so. BUT... this is a used system. And it's also yesterday's design (with the white "bumpers") and yesterday's tech (Napa chipset, X1400 video card). So, I'm thinking that $750 is in the ballpark. I might have suggested $800 or $850, but I'm not an expert, and if you know this person, then maybe that's worth something.
I say, if you're getting good use out of the machine, just keep it... but if you'd be just as well off running Bootcamp on your MBP, then you might go ahead and sell it.
I wouldn't be pressured into selling it just because someone wants to buy it though... make your own decision.
