Default Price check on used HP dv1000 laptop

this guy wants to sell me an hp dv1550se with the following specs...

- intel centrino pentium M @ 1.6ghz
- 14.0" high def brightview widescreen
- 512mb of ram
- intel graphics media accelerator 900
- 80gb hard drive (4200rpm)
- 8x lightscribe dual layer dvd burner
- intel pro wireless 2200 802.11b/g


he told me to make an offer...what is a fair asking price that i should respond with?

Today I just bought a DV2235 series laptop on craigs for $400..it is core duo processor...

hp pavilion dv2235 notebook pc
t5500 intel core 2 duo processor
120 gb hard drive
2048 mb memory
dvd lightscribe (dvd and cd player and burner)
windows vista business en español
intel pro wireless
built in bluetooth
built in webcam
warranty until august 2008
microsoft office 2003 in english

The OS is in spanish but I plan to put XP on it anyways and I got lucky! U can get these dual cores for $600 these days if u look hard enough. I would offer him $250...maybe?

but then again I sold the one below for $800...yes, eight hundred dollars...all new internals though...Fujitsu replaced battery/HDD/RAM/MoBo/LCD etc under warranty and I decided it was the best time to sell and upgrade!!!
