EDIT: Ok, well not too many people are responding...so I guess I will throw out an idea of what I'd like for these laptops. For the Sager, I'd like to get something like
$2100
or so, but make offers...that's the whole point. It is still obviously under full warranty from Eurocom and is brand new, nothing ever touched (except that I installed the wireless card myself).
The compal is also a very nice laptop, but the FT00 is coming out (if not already out), which is basically the updated version of the GL30. I want to sell this for like
$1250,
but make offers for that too, that's the whole point. I have only had one guy message me. Your offer is not contract anyway, so just go for it if you want one of these.
Hello all,
I am selling one of my laptops. I currently use a:
Compal HGL30...
T2500 2.0ghz core duo cpu
Geforce Go 7600 gpu
120GB 5400rpm HDD
DL DvdRw
1280x800 res gloss screen
2gb Micron ddr667 pc5300 memory
Intel 3945a/b/g wireless chip
Bluetooth chip
It is in pretty much mint condition save light scratches on the top of the lid (inevitable w/ this type of finish) and amazingly light wear on some of the silver (barely noticable). The screen is in 100% mint condition and the laptop has no damage whatsoever. Mint.
I like this laptop a lot but I was only getting about 25-30fps in Counter Strike: Source at low settings so I decided this laptop wasn't good enough for gaming. So I ordered a Sager NP5790 from Eurocom. Then I found a brand new driver for this and now I can play CS:S at like 85fps at full settings; plenty of gaming power.
So, now the NP5790 came. It is brand new and I have looked at it but haven't turned it on, charged the battery, removed plastic covering, or anything. It's 100% brand new. Its specs are:
T7300 2.0ghz Santa Rosa Core 2 Duo cpu
Geforce Go 7950gtx
100GB 7200rpm HDD (I'm going to sell this and get a 160gb 5400rpm HDD if I keep this one)
DL DvdRW
1920x1200 res gloss screen
2GB Samsung ddr667 pc5300 ram
Intel 4965a/g/n wireless chip
(No Bluetooth as I didn't want to pay for it. I might get like a $5 Dongle if I want to use it. You could probably get it cheaply).
As I said, this laptop is brand new. I am trying to decide which one I want to keep. I love my Compal and it works great, great battery life, very portable, and the only 14.1" gaming notebook (FT00 is coming out soon). The new one has full HD 1080p resolution screen, better speakers, and super top of the line graphics card. It is a little bit less portable, but still fits in my laptop backpack so I wouldn't mind carrying it around too much in order to get such high resolution and a huge screen. It also has an available internal TV Tuner which I might get eventually. The keyboard build is by default studier, but I did the keyboard mod (put a metal bar under the Compal keyboard, no damage, don't worry) so the Compal's keyboard is quite sturdy as well, unlike when I bought it. I probably want to keep the Clevo/Sager because it is brand new and might last longer into the future of gaming (upgradable video card). I also might just get rid of my TV in my room and use the screen for a TV (small room). 14.1" is too small for that. However, the Compal is a great great laptop so if I don't get some good offers for it, and I can get a lot of money for the NP5790, I might sell that and keep my current one.
No OS included on either laptop. XP Pro is on the Compal right now but you will need your own license key. I made this post to both decide which one to sell and sell that laptop, so please PM me with offers for either one, doesn't matter. If I get good offers for the Compal, I will sell it...otherwise I'm going to sell the Sager because I know I can get what I paid for it easily. I have an idea of how much I'd want for each, but they're just guesses, so I'll decide based on your offers what each is worth. Thanks and get those offers rolling. I need to sell one of these within like 3 weeks tops to pay for the Sager or at least part of it (credit card payment).
-Ezra Patterson (my ebay ID is ezauctionpro and i have feedback of 159 at 100%. I just don't think ebay is a good place to sell these models as they are not well known to the general public). Below is just a quick photo of each to prove I own them. I'm in the middle of moving and I will take more thorough pics of each soon. Make an offer based on the described condition and I can always provide pictures before you commit to buying. The offers are no big deal and not any kind of agreement like on ebay.
