Default FS: Asus W3J $950

Asus W3J

The W3J is great for everyday computing, but is ideal for graphic design and/or 3d CAD rendering due to its strong graphics capabilities. The Intel Core Duo is perfect for demanding multitasking, and the 14” screen makes for a nice sized screen while maintaining portability. For those unfamiliar with Asus, they are the #1 motherboard manufacturer in the world and the W-series notebooks from Asus are very high quality. All components are working perfectly, and the notebook has always been meticulously taken care of. I have all original boxing as well.

The notebook was bought last summer so the warranty is expired. Fortunately, I've never had a hardware problem so the warranty never had to be used. The reason I'm selling the notebook is because I've landed a job as an Apple Campus Rep for the University of Houston and they gave me a macbook to use.

• 1.83ghz Intel Core Duo
• 2GB 667mhz Ram
• ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 w/ 256 MB VRAM GPU (512 MB Hypermemory)
• 100GB HDD (2nd hard drive kit included WITH extra 100GB hdd)
• 8x DVD-RW 24x CD-RW
• 3 x USB 2.0
• IEEE 1394 (Firewire) Port
• Built-In Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 A/B/G miniPCI
• Bluetooth
• 8 Cell Li-Ion Battery
• 54mm PCI-Express Card Slot
Windows XP Professional, Adobe CS3 Design Suite, and other applications pre-installed
• 4 in 1 memory card reader (SD/MMC/MS/MS PRO)
• S-Video Out
• 13” (length) x 9.7” (width) x 1.18”-1.28” (height) ~5.0 LBS w/ US standard 8 cell and travelers drawer ~5.4 LBS w/ US standard 8 cell and optical drive

*Optical bay (DVD-ROM) is hot swappable with optional 6-cell battery or a 2nd HDD kit. I WILL INCLUDE a second hard drive kit PLUS a 100GB hdd which will give the W3J two hard drives.

I am asking for $950. Paypal is appreciated.

You might want to post how long is left on the warranty.... Also please update your post after reviewing the Buy, Sell, Trade Rules.

Curious as to why you are selling this? What part of the country are you in? I am interested, but 1100 is a bit high for me since it is probably nearing a year old. a new one can be had for about 1300. I realize you are including the hard drive bay, but im not interested in that. They keyboard and palm rests look pretty worn as well. I am also interested in the length of warranty left?

I've become an Apple campus rep for UH and they gave me a macbook to use - I'd like to sell the w3j before it depreciates too much. I live in texas.

To the best of my knowledge, W3Js were discontinued so I was under the impression that one could no longer go out and buy a new one. The keyboard and palmrest are a normal wear-and-tear item and can be replaced if it bothers you. The warranty is expired since I bought it last summer. The hard drive bay and extra 100GB hdd is part of the package to add value and incentive, so this probably isn't the notebook for you.

Try not to threadcrap, but TBH, a few good points have been brought up. The W3j was under $1200 new from retailers a few months ago, but they've all been sold out since(though if one looks hard enough, they could find it ). The asking price may be a little high, but you could always say this is a rare model and the premium would make sense

The warranty is out, which could potentially be a large selling point as well.

Goodluck on your sale!
