Default FS:Gaming Computer, what to do?

I no longer need my gaming Beast...i quit video games

CoolerMaster Mystic Black Case w/ Window
Ultra X-Connect 600W modular PSU
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (Week 29) clocked to 3.2Ghz & Prime95 stable
Zalman cnps-700cu cpu hsf
Gigabyte 965P-DS3 motherboard
2GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800 w/ heatspreaders
Seagate 320GB 7200.10 SATA2 HDD or Raptor 74GB 16MB 10k HDD
NEC 16x dual layer dvd burner
generic 16x dvd-rom
Evga Geforce 8800 GTS 320MB (overclocks to outbench the 640 at stalk)
Viewsonic VX922 2Ms Response time 19' LCD

Asking 1,400$ this would cost you about 2000+ new today,it is used(beautiful condition) its only 6months old and the video card is maybe 2 months old. I would like to get a fast laptop for photo, music and schoolwork, perferably light with a good battery. Inspiron 1420 or 1520 would be ideal(cash+ laptop?) Serious offers email me at tvicious88@gmail.com (pix and 3dmark06 screens.....just ask and you will recieve)

july 22 is when intel will have massive price cuts on the processor

you can get the e6540 with 133mhz fsb and 2.3 ghz for only $163

so the e6400 is worth less than 163 new let alone used.

Don't get me wrong, I'm just trying to clarify that it would not cost $2K to build the same system. I'm not trying to insult anyone, but please don't provide misleading information.

http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=139863

the Mainstream Performance Desktop - Around $1000 config gets you most of the important stuff in the comp (except better cpu)

spend another 100 for a 640mb gts

spend 100 more for a 500gb hd

spend 200 on a nice 20 in monitor

and all that is NEW and MORE powerful

it would not cost 2k new today

Not if you are building it yourself but go to a site like www.cyberpowerpc.com and config a similar system with moniter tax and shipping and my information will not seem so missleading.

at any rate....if you have a price in mind that you think is fair...im open to suggestions, like i said i dont game so i would rather it be in the hands of somone who will use it and i want to go mobile for school so lay it on me.

As i said above im also open to trade for a notebook: 14-15inch 2g ram 1.8+ghrz dual core and 150+gb hdd so i am being flexible.

that forum leaves out the cost of an operating system and i did the math on the links provided and came up with 1015$ with shipping & rebates included, add 200$ for a moniter + 200-300$ for an operating system and reconsider your claims.
