I am the original owner and I purchased this brand new from Dell on 5/8/05. The notebook is in EXCELLENT condition and it has rarely been out of the house. On the few occasions it traveled with me, it was always carried in my well padded notebook backpack. The computer is also in EXCELLENT working order. All hardware is fully functional and I have never experienced any problems with it. Most importantly, ALL SOFTWARE INCLUDING WINDOWS IS 100% GENUINE. There are no illegal or bootleg programs on this computer. I ran the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor, and this computer is fully capable of handling the new operating system if you choose to upgrade.
I am relatively new to NotebookReview.com, but I have been an ebay member since May, 2001 and I have 100% positive feedback from 62 transactions. I have this excellent reputation because I only sell quality items that I own in exactly the condition they are described as. I go by balisongfans on ebay and you can click here for my profile. If you have any questions or if you would like any additional pictures, please send me an email, pm, or reply to this post.

Goodluck on selling this. Just post a comment of the Resolution of the screen .
how can they squeeze a 1920 1200 panel in a 15.4".. ?!?!unbelievable. I've seen Alienware is doing this on their screen.

Re: FS: Dell Inspiron 6000 1.6GHz | 768MB | 128 ATI X300 | 1920x1200
The screen resolution is awesome. It was actually the biggest selling point for me on the computer when I bought it. I work a lot with very large spreadsheets, I do a lot of photo editing and I also do web design in ASP.NET. Having this much real estate on the screen was great.
For normal everyday use, I also really like this resolution. It allowed me to have have my outlook open, Firefox, and even WMP all viewable on the screen at once. Also, even though this high resolution makes everything look small, I didn't have any trouble with it, even when it was further back on the desk while using an external keyboard. Everything is very readable and the LCD has beautiful color that makes it enjoyable to look at for long periods of time.
To be honest, I feel a little claustrophobic with my new Asus A8Js at 1440x900. I miss all that resolution already.
The notebook is still available! I will probably take it to ebay this evening if there's no interest here. If anyone has questions or if you want to make an offer, please contact me.
Thanks for your interest.
John
