    Default New MacBook's 13, 15, 17 inch

So now the 13 inch MacBook truly is a MacBook Pro!

I was always amazed at how close the new MacBook Unibody was close to being a MacBook Pro!
    Now it is!

I am actually happy be cause I have a replaceable battery =)

But firewire, 2.53GHz upgrade and SD card reader make it kind of compelling, but I will keep my 2.4GHz Unibody until October when there should be another upgrade

    13 incher:

    - $1199. 13" MacBook Pro. 2.26GHz. 2GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9400. 160GB HD. Firewire
    - $1499. 13" MacBook Pro. 2.53GHz. 4GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9400. 250GB HD. Firewire

    15 and 17 inchers:

Three standard 15" MacBook Pro configurations are offered:
    - $1699. 2.53 GHz, 4 GB RAM. NVIDIA GeForce 9400M, 250GB HD. Firewire.
    - $1999. 2.66 GHz, 4 GB RAM. NVIDIA GeForce GT. 320GB HD. Firewire.
    - $2299. 2.8 GHz, 4 GB RAM. NVIDIA GeForce GT . 500 GB HD. Firewire.

    Additional options include:
    - Up to 3.06 GHz Core 2 Duo
    - Up to 8 GB RAM
    - Up to 500 GB HDD or 256 GB SSD

    And some nice price cuts
This makes the new MacBook Pro's extremely competitive with PC's more than ever before!

Paired with Mac OS X SNOW LEOPARD 10.6 it will many PC's (Until Windows 7 comes out)
Which will have GPGPU and way better Multi Core Support

FOR ALL MICRO$OFT TROLLS: MACS HANDLE GHz BETTER THAN WINDOWS
SO NOW THAT SNOW LEOPARD HAS COME OUT THIS WILL MAKE IT EVEN BETTER

What do you guys think about these new MacBooks?

PS: I will be getting the new iPhone 3GS though ! ! !

June 19th I will be sitting at my driveway with binoculars, nutricious foods, lots of water and a high ink flow pen to sign rapidly and have a sanitized table ready to get going with my oh so beautiful iPhone ASAP

I didn't LITERALLY mean it for all laptops

But come on, for the weight, battery life, power, features, design and PRICE

These definitely trump everything but gaming... which isn't all too portable YET (ion air, liquid cooling, I don't know! But we will see)

Maybe it's faster... But atleast you don't need a crane to move an Apple laptop around

they've removed the older unibody models from the store, was hoping they be selling them at a lower price?

I think Apple only sells the most current models on their website. You will be able to find them around the internet, try NewEgg or MacMall.

    I don't think you understand...

FASTER PROCESSOR, FIREWIRE, SD CARD READER, LONGER BATTERY LIFE, MORE RAM all for the SAME price...

Stop complaining, you either get this, or you go get a netbook

But yeah, you can definitely get the old ones off of MacMall etc...
Just wait a couple weeks and you'll find a 2.4GHz MacBook Unibody for under $999, you can probably even find that right now

I just bought the unibody macbook about a week ago....been waiting on the phone for 30min now with apple to see if I can exchange....even with restocking fee I think it would be about $50 more for the new pro with twice the ram, extra processor and firewire/sd card.
