I don't think those pictures are good enough to make a judgment like that.

Well. I guess that even the screen is better but it's still no match for the MBP-15 screen.

I agree. The only thing that comparison really demonstrates is that the 15" model is somewhat brighter.

Can anyone take comparison pics in regular lighting at various angles? The viewing angles are the biggest concerns for me.

Yes it is hard to capture how good the 13" MacBook Pro screen really looks. You'd really have to see for yourself at an Apple Store or authorized reseller. It is light years ahead of the previous MacBook, by far. When the unibody Macbooks were first released I went and bought the 13". I owned it for a little longer than 24 hours before returning it to the store because of the crappy screen. I ended up buying the 15" MacBook Pro because the screen was so much better.

The viewing angles are good on the 13". In fact, I did a comparison last night between the 13" and the 15". I'd say the viewing angles are about identical. Just for comparison sakes, my 13" has a Chi Mei panel as well as my 15" does too.

Default Replace a MacBook screen?

I checked a few of the new 13" MBP's at the Apple Store and they were all using one of two screens:

LP133WX3-TLA1 9C9F (LG-Phillips)
B133EW07 V0 9CA1

Would it be possible use those panels in a UMB? Apple will not replace the screen for a fee and the folks at http://techrestore.com said you cannot use those panels in the UMB.
