Re: NBR Apple Core
You bring up a good point here. Both OS's do quite well. One thing that people forget is that many applications that are available in one OS has an similar application in the other. For example, Spotlight is extremely great at launching and finding things quickly. Wish you had something like that in Windows XP? No problem! Download a little application called "Launchy". Works quite well on my work laptop. A little time Googling up if an application exists in a certain OS reaps wonders.
I love having the ability to run both. I get the best of both worlds when running XP/Vista in VMWare Fusion on the MBP.Got a new computer and need a few apps (of the free variety) to get started with? Then check out the Ever-Growing Free Windows Software List

Re: NBR Apple Core
Yea, i'm just gonna go repurchase a macbook in a couple of days. Because applecare is cheaper than other warranties, it ends up costing only a bit more either way.

Re: NBR Apple Core
It's not better, it's not worse, but just different. I'm a PC person, and I liked XP and love Vista. I think that OS X is nice, but considering I've always used Windows, I just can't get used to OS X because it functions so differently. Both operating systems are nice; it all depends on what one prefers.
