Good for anything in the store.. which shocked me how much crap they are selling. With the 200 gift card you can save even more on the decent prices they usually have there (at least the LED TVs.. many were the same as Amazon)

Did they send you all an e-mail when they shipped out your gift cards?

I am planning on using $60 or so on the Alienware Headset. Haven't decided on what to do with the rest yet.

Which leads to another question. Can I use giftcard for tax and shipping expenses, or do I have to pay that separate?

It works like a normal giftcard so yes. But you should get free shipping by signing up for Dell Advantage anyway .

The "gift cards" in question are sent by EMAIL and they are a code I believe which you use on Dell.com for anything they sell. If you have dell advantage and you SHOULD since you get 5% cash back then you also get free 2nd day shipping. I have no idea what I plan on buying... Maybe a 3DS or a laptop cooler or tactx keyboard. I have about $270 coming to me with the student gift card and the 5% back on my M17x. Its amazing how quick Dell would bother you if you missed a payment on your laptop but the moment they owe you money or a gift card it takes them 30 days to get it to you. HURRY UP DELL!

I ordered my laptop on 7/6 and just received the gift card this morning. Its a bummer that I'm in the process of returning the laptop as I received it damaged so the card will have to be forfeited until another gets sent with the new laptop.

It actually depends, sometimes they send physical cards. I've earned four gift cards total through Dell and two were actual cards and two were e-mail codes. It would be nice if they were all given out using codes...much faster.

Got both my gift cards nearly a full month after having received my laptop (laptop arrived on 7/3, gift cards separately on 8/2 - student and 8/4 - 5% cash back) in the mail. Unfortunately they weren't combined as the rep said they would be, does anyone know how to use multiple promo gift cards on a single purchase?

Apparently you can call customer service and they can combine them but I haven't tried yet.
