Tbf, because I have an R4 I'm asking everyone I know on here and in person who has a 7970M card to run Crysis in order to reference point it with regards to FPS... It would be good to have our own compendium of FPS for each game at stock clocks hehe.

Edit: Btw what is MSAA and FXAA? Is FXAA a background program or something that is more efficient than in-game AA?
Pulling some good FPS with Crysis, thanks for the extra push to do it, cool to run around in it again.

2nd best tip anyone can give you, use the google: https://www.google.com/#hl=en&gs_nf=...w=1280&bih=607

This way you don't wait around for an answer, plus it's an extensive subject.

Monthly payments? Preferred account? All at once? God i dont wanna wait for that one itll take awhile.
Thanks man. Well, you hit on a game genre I'm not in to, RPG. However, I have an eye on Skyrim due to it's beauty, maybe Steam will have it on a summer sale.

Kind of personal , but if you get a preferred account, they run deferred interest deals from time to time. You'll want to have the money as you don't want to get stuck with that 29.99% APR, but I also love these type of accounts with Amazon and Newegg, I'd rather keep as much of the money as possible until the final month, and then pay off.

    Enjoy it!

Nice one on the vid, I wasn't expecting as much footage much appreciation and rep going your way. Does patching to your version give better performance? I've had the game (DVD version) since 2008 and no matter what system I've been on it refused to patch. How did you do it?

Again, thanks man. What other games have you tried?

Oh, and BTW - I prefer your style of video capture than using Fraps as it gives actual real time performance indication, easy to see if you have the internet speed for 1080p video and full screen on youtube. Keep it up dude.

I don't think patching is +performance, it's mostly bug fixes and MP security. I have the old fashioned retail DVD/Key and get the patches from gamershell.com

    Install this first.

    Install this last.

Just the games shown so far. I got L.A. Noire for free with MP3, haven't played yet and doubt there will be a vid for it. Lately I've just been Showdown MP and finishing SP MP3 before going MP on it (with a dash of Crysis ). Guess I need to see how Metro 2033 runs.

    Afterburner and HWiNFO

AB OSD takes the top by default, so I use that for VRAM usage, API (going to be there anyway) and FPS.

Then you have control (line choice) for better organization with where HWiNFO places info:

(Line 1) GPU temp : GPU usage
(Line 2) GPU Core clock : GPU Mem clock
(Line 3) nothing selected so leaves a space
    (Line 4) CPU core 1 : CPU core 2
    (Line 5) CPU core 3 : CPU core 4
(Line 6) CPU usage : CPU temp
(Line 7) nothing selected so leaves a space
(Line 8) Sys Mem usage : Sys Mem available

Thanks, I'll have a play with that. I was hoping you were using something other that AB for FPS and API as since i replaced my R3 the option for frame rate is greyed out. I've been using fraps but it looks much neater like you have it.

You have the green team, so Precision should make the companion to HWiNFO just like AB is for me. AB and Precision operate the same way.

EDIT: I'm not sure it will work, but give it a try.

That did it - THANKS. At first it was the same problem but a second try and I could select and see frame rate Shame it has their header but I've got the info on-screen I am used to and luckily I was a member over at EVGA from a build I did a couple of years ago so quick access.
