My last rep for my last AW, gave me such a good deal that there is no way ill be buying from this last person. Im going to call my old rep and see what he can do because i dont want a 200GF id rather it just be less expensive.

I'll try the PM thingy but I am thinking Sager's prices will be untouchable (not that I expect a price match, but with in $200 would be reasonable especially since I have to fork over Texas sales tax---no fault of Alienware's though).

Rev, I sent my PM. Thanks.
I think a lot of us are interested in the answer to your question. I seriously doubt we'll get anything more of a public answer than what has already been said, a standard scripted response.

Hopefully Dell realizes that NBR members are more demanding (both in terms of expecting more performance, and expecting more value, i.e. discounts) than the general public. I have a feeling, however, that the discounts seen with Allan are not going to be available now. If that is the case, I totally agree that other manufacturers become more appealing.

To any admin: Is it allowable for members to post their deals obtained in this manner in the other thread about saving money on a new system? If not, it would seem somewhat counter-intuitive.

I didn't get the impression they were offering unique pricing or special deals within this thread. They could of course but not seeing any promise to do so. Certainly no offer to try and match/compete with other brands sourced differently.

Not that you shouldn't seek a good deal, its just that something struck me as odd here with the expectations.

I agree with NBR folks being demanding but the public at large will be much more price sensitive IMO.

Wasn't expecting magic or anything. I think the gift cards are considered their discounts. I would have been happy with $100 off, which isn't terribly much on a $3500 system. We don't need gift cards since anything we really need we usually get with the system.

However parroting out the same pricing that I can do myself and not even caring if they made the sale was kinda insulting. It's cheaper to just get the system from xoticpc than bothering to call at this point considering tax.

Please discuss this with your sales representative and as for posting it, i don't see any reason for doing so.

Not going to post details, but taking to the rep from Rachid was definitely a good deal. As soon so have a minute I'll be calling to make payment arrangements.
