atm cashbakc is only 5.5% but the reps are giving you 15% off if you really push it. i would of liked to deal with a rep as i wanted an orion back back but hey now i get to use a really bad targus one.

Sorry, I should of phrased my question a little better, Can your rep do better discounts then say it would be priced on the outlet?

Gotcha. Well, as I have said before, alot depends on how much you are spending and the configuration of your new system. Obviously the lesser you spend, the smaller room for discounts. If you are looking to buy new, I would definetly recommend getting a quote from my rep - nothing ventured, nothing gained and all, eh?

I would also add that if you look at it logically, why would Dell heavily discount a brand new system moreso than the same system on the outlet? - it doesn't make good business sense to do that. If you are looking at one specific system/specification, you wont get the same system/specification NEW from a rep cheaper than the exact same system on the outlet. For sure.

Ah ok, that's pointless since I can already get an 8% discount from EPP as I'm a student!

I'd rather have a brand new one if I'm paying that much money to be honest. EPP is just an 8% employee discount from certain companies or student discount if you're at university.

I think I'm just going to hold out until late september'ish, which is when all the big discounts start coming in for xmas apparently.
