From what I have gathered from the posts in this thread, Stevie's reps are able to give a discount between 10-15%. I don't suppose there's a ballpark figure which determines the discount percentage you get.
I can tell you that the more you spend, the more likelihood of discounts. Goes without saying really. If you are looking at a £6k setup, there is more room for discounting. If you are after a basic M11x, theres not much room for discount offers.....

As a guide, i would say that any order worth over £2000 should ensure you a good discount....maybe 10% upwards....probably no more than 20-25% very tops regardless of order size.

So, you get a rough idea...the more you spend, the more you save....

PM me when you can and I will hook you up!

    Super, thanks for the info

I was thinking more of a high end M17xR3 or M18x. The reason I asked is that the more you pay the bigger the discrepancy between the price in the UK and say the US/Asia. Sometimes it's large enough that you could pay for a flight there, buy the item and still have enough spending money

Of course a discount will "balance" this off but there's a sweet spot when it's not worth grabbing a flight etc. As a rough guide, there's a £1k difference between a M18x configured in the UK compared to Asia.

I will PM you once I am able.

    No problem.

The other thing to consider is Her Majesty's share when you bring it into the UK if you import, the hassle of swapping keyboards (unless you like US layout) and , well other pitfalls.

Your right, there is a definite "sweet spot" where buying from the Uk at the right price does actually outweigh the import option. You still may pay a bit more but it will be a full UK system and, when it comes to resale, I think thats pretty important.

Anyway, I never try and sway anyone one way or the other, I just try an point out the pros and cons and help out with a good rep. The rest is up to the individual.

Ive had people turn down my reps good offers in lieu of importing - thats their lookout. At the end of the day, everyone is entitled to do what they want.

If my guy/s can be of help, its well worth looking at anyway before you pull the trigger on anything.

    Speak soon.

Im really p*ssed that i didnt see this thread. I was delighted that i persuaded the guy to throw in the £86 bag and £70 Tactx mouse for free. Tbf i got that by just asking, once. I didnt have to push for it at all. So there is discounts to be had without Stevies rep, even though that is probably the best route to take.

Ordered on the 19th. Went into production today, EDD the 16th. Hopefully it will come before then.

Also, i like to make the reps think im torn between there product and someone elses. I mentioned that Asus give you a bag, mouse and Windows 7 ultimate as standered, not to forget a bluray burner.
    Worked for me.
