Would you be able to provide me with a quote that includes a gtx680m graphics card even though they are out of stock at the moment?

    Thanks
I don't think anyone can offer a quote until they are back in stock. Dell won't offer to sell something they haven't got yet.

Regards to buying from the US, power supplies are obviously US plug. Easy fix just to buy a UK power lead and your good to go....

Warranty should be internationally transferable so that should be ok too. Not sure how you would be fixed to actually place an order from Dell USA. Have a look at this thread for some more info: How to order from dell US for non US citizens

All right so I've ordered my machine! Managed to knock off around 15 pounds from the overall price and delivery date forward from mid September to end August so I have time to prep this for school! Looking forward to using this. Just a bit of advice to anyone - if you come across a coupon/code and it's due to expire, you can ask them to hang onto the price - that's exactly what they did for me.

Us poor people in the United Kingdom and other NON US locations (including Europe etc) need to have a dedicated thread so that they can go DIRECTLY to that thread to learn how to save money in their individual location.

I am gonna start this off by posting this thread and how I saved money on purchasing my Alienware system.

Although I looked throught NBR, I could only find advice on how to save money when buyiing in the US. Obviously, I found the majority of it was not applicable to me, being a UK resident.

I wanted start a topic so that we could reduce the RIDICULOUS prices being charged by Dell for the same configurations, in some circumstances....almost double that paid by US citizens.

I hope that ANYONE who has any money saving ideas will post them on this thread and, in turn, it will help out in getting the very best deal possible.

I will kick off by letting anyone who wants to know about a very good UK based rep. who managed to save me a small fortune on Alienware purchases.

Due to NBR rules, I cant post details here, but if you would like them, please feel free to send me a PM.

I would request that the PM includes:

    Your Name
    Your Location
Your contact details (for my rep - email & telephone preferable)
The system you are interested in (eg M17x R3 / XPS / AW Desktop etc)
Wether or not you are purchasing on Dell Finance or outright via your own methods.

In return for that, I will forward your contact details to the relevant Dell contact who helped me and he will contact you via email or phone as soon as possible.

Obviously, I would appreciate any feedback you have after your dealings with my contact but please do not divulge specific information about you deal on the open forums.

This is just something to kick off the UK based money saving guide, if anyone can contribute more to it, other ways, coupons etc etc....we all could do with knowing as we are amongst the very highest paying Alienware customers in the world.

Another useful thread can be found here How to order from dell US for non US citizens and may help Non US residents IF they want to order a system FROM the US but please bear in mind import/shipping/duty.

Also, recently added 17th March 2011:

It has come to my attention that another avenue to save money on buying an Alienware system has come to light. I wont detail too much here but it is suffice to say that a great deal of money can be saved by looking at this thread: HIDevolution

Ted, from HIDevolution HIDevolution.com - Specializing in customized computers, electronics, and mobile devices for gamers and professionals has recently joined the NBR forums. He specialises in overseas orders and there are lots of happy buyers who can provide testament to Ted's services. It is well worth a look at what Ted can do for you if you are looking to buy from the US and avoid the sky high Non-US prices that Dell charge.

    Thanks guys.

    Good luck!

steve i don't know how to pm people here, so i'm writing it here.
    I live in London.
I wanted to spend in total of £1900 to build a really good aurora r3 desktop. And i realized that the uk website doesn't offer me the option for 680 gtx graphic or that the gtx 690 graphic card is too expensive if u take/buy other stuff as well. but i realized that even though there is no 680 gtx in the us dell store as well the gtx 690 ,which is way more better, is way more cheaper there + it allows me to buy the monitor etc all included near £1900 and if i use coupons for 10% discount it would cost less. The problem is also that not every option are available for uk as for US. example: overcloackable to 4.2ghz cpu or extreme cpu i7 or some type of graphic cards.
So i would like to know from america to have delivered to London how much it could take? they would let me do that? or do i need to buy addressing it to someone who live there? and then send it by post or some shipping companies? and how much this could cost?
are the US current plugs different one from a pc in uk? if it is will i be able to buy or use any plug that i bought from uk in that pc? or i must need us plug with same type of sockets to make it work in uk? (by meaning "plug" i mean the electrical line that will make turn on your monitor or pc, and i wanted to know if the uk 3 pin plug will work with that pc, and if YES how much V or watt does it need to be able to support?).
this is the detail of the pc that i would like to buy from us dell site:

Alienware Aurora R4 Alienware Aurora Desktop
Operating System Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64Bit, English
    Processors 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-3820 (10M Cache, Overclocked up to 4.2 GHz)
    Memory 16GB Quad Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz
    Keyboard Alienware Multi-Media Keyboard
Monitor Dell S2230MX, 21.5 Inch Flat Panel Monitor
    Video Card 4GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 690
Hard Drive 1TB Serial ATA 3 Hard Drive
    Chassis Color Alienware Aurora
Floppy Drive 19-in-1 Media Card Reader
    Mouse Alienware Optical Mouse, MG100
Network Card 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 EDR USB Combo Adapter
    AlienFX AlienFX Color, Quasar Blue
Adobe Reader Software Adobe® Acrobat® Reader
    CD ROM/DVD ROM Single Drive: 8X Dual Layer Blu-ray Burner (BD-RE, DVD±RW, CD-RW)
Sound Card Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio
    Avatar Alienhead 3D
Office Productivity Software (Pre-Installed) Microsoft® Office trial
Hardware Support Services 1 Year Basic Support
TOTAL: $2,973.99 <------ in £ it is 1895 and + if i find any discount 10% for american dell website and use it it will cost just £1706 pound allowing me to use the spare £100-200 for shipping or plug buying or just save them.
    thnks for the answers.

Regarding buying from the US, have a look at this thread: How to order from dell US for non US citizens

GPU's are out of stock right now and that's why they arent available to configure. Wait a while if you want Nvidia, they will be back soon I imagine.

As far as I know, using a UK power lead is all that is required. Bear in mind that if you are buying from the US, you will also have to add an additional 20% on top of the price (cost & shipping fees) for customs charges - this makes it not quite as attractive. You can use a service such as BundleBox but then you have their fees to factor in too......

    Hello,
I would like to know how long it may take between ordering it here and delivery?
As I am currently outside the UK and will return there only in 4 weeks.

Should I send PM with details now or it is better to wait for 2-3 more weeks??
