Got my M7x R4 down from $3,200 to $2,800. In total, $3,001 with tax and everything. I was decently pleased, but will try for more soon. Can you call after the order has been confirmed to try and lower the price by saying stuff like, "Sager was willing to give a better deal"?

I think best advice right now is to send Allan an email and get a quote from him, you don't need to haggle or anything, and he will give you a good deal

Yup already did, just wondering if the information on the first post needs to be updated assuming the $50 sign up code is no longer applicable, or if there was something I misunderstood.

    Hey guys,

I ordered an m14x 3 days ago (with pretty much the highest specs you can get all round) and did so over the phone. I haggled for a while but could only get $75 off. Reading this thread it seems as though that was a tiny amount for a $3,600 laptop.

Is there anything I can do to get the price down (or perhaps some credit for other purchases) after I've ordered? Wish I had found this forum before I ordered.

    Thanks!

    P.S. Ordered from Canada

almost 4000 for an M14x? That's insane. Can you post a price sheet? I know canadians pay more sales tax, but that just sounds nuts.

(Samsung Galaxy Note II: Exynos 4412 Quad 1.6GHZ, ARM Mali-400MP, 2GB RAM + 4G LTE)
    (Alienware M17x R3: i7-2760QM 2.4GHZ, GTX580M, 12GB DDR3, Blu-Ray + Killer Wireless 1103)
    (Razer Edge Pro: i7-3517U 2.4GHZ, GT640M LE, 8GB DDR3 + 256GB SSD SATA-III)

I know it's a lot of money, but in the end of the day it's got to do a lot of things for me (including be very portable, hence the 14") so it is still worth it.

Still any $ I could save would make a big difference for me!

Here are the (important hardware) specs:

    3rd Gen Intel Core i7-3820QM 2.7GHz
    16GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz
9.5mm SL, SATA BD (BD-ROM)/DVD Combo
NV GF GT 650M w/2.0GB VRAM
    14.0" HD+ (900p/1600x900) WLED
    512GB SSD, Solid State Drive
    Intel 2230 Wireless-N

You should've emailed Alan first to get his price. I'm sure you could've saved much more than $75.
