Well best part of this is that everytime I get on the Phone with Dell my girlfriend starts to get mad . Last night she said I was like a crack addict
Any of you guys try to get President obama to Help .Who cares about oil in the gulf Healthcare and Iraq. I need my 5870 in crossfire

On my letter to Dell I assume just plead my case in a bussiness like manner .
Should I be a like angry should I say dell is a great company make my case for 280 being better than 4870.Should I mention getting runaround from one person for week them system being sent out with me agreeing to specs

Well one more email and I am done. I don't expect it to work but have to try. If they had given me a I-5 540 and 5870 crossfire would have been happy

I will say this! I believe I have not seen anyone as persistent as you have been. On that alone I think you should get the 5870's Well played

Well to be honest kept calling Dell but never got to speak to the person making the call. He was always busy. On the last day he was in a meeting all day. Feel now was avoiding me untill the system shipped. If I had been able to have my day in court think I would be ok.

If you look at the specs on new system vs old everything is the same on new system. Except cpu was upgraded and gpu was downgraded

This system was a 40th birthday present from x-wife. Now seperated with child support. Doing ok but can not see for a while having cash to buy something like this. Plus does have some sentimental value to me. So one
more e-mail for me. Now system may come tommorrow and I may be so blown
away by it that I get lazy and dont send e-mail. .)

Hmmm.... Very nice indeed Also you deserve it I mean ten months with a R1 system is worse than being in hell(been there for like 3+ months myself).

Dwarf King, thanks for the comment. 3 months with a defective system is far to long for anyone, i'm just glad it's over!!

Very nice, I'am almost jealous But will call you equal Glade it worked out in the end. As I try to tell people here Alienware is not trying to cheat anyone and things work out in the end, just seems to take too long!

Alienwolf, not bad yourself! I don't even think I come equal due to your ram and ssd, but I have to say the 5870's are nice given the raw power. I am glad things worked out for those of us that have/had defective R1's and I agree that Alienware/Dell are doing what they can to resolve issues just need to be in a more timely manner. I believe that the company is still reeling in shock that the R1's chipset is extremely problematic since it used to be their flagship gaming notebook for less than a year, and that they should have tested the system out extensively before its initial release IMHO.
