My M18X wont power on, is under warranty and Alienware won’t help me.
My M18X wont power on, is under warranty and Alienware won’t help me.
Does anyone have a better contact number with someone that can actually do something at Alienware Support? I bought an outlet model and apparently the service tag was registered to someone else. I have 166 Days of warranty and phone support wont help me.
I was using the machine this morning and it just powered off hard. Won’t turn on at all. With or without battery. (Battery shows as full). Frustrating as hell.

So you bought direct from outlet store and Dell thinks you are not the owner? Can you correct this by showing your receipt?

Re: My M18X wont power on, is under warranty and Alienware won’t help me.
yea if you are indeed the owner then you shouldn't have an issue at all.. now could there have been a mistake?? sure its a possibility.. but a recipe should clear all that up.. and Dont say you dont have one..
If you bought it from the outlet there is ether a CC record of it or you went thru Dell financial and in which case there is a record also..
Did you buy it from some one? and forget to transfer the warranty?
Good luck!

Send us an email at AWsocialmedia@dell.com with your receipt attached and I'll take care of it

Please include your service tag, phone number and a link to this thread, that way once the warranty is fixed I'll set up a callback for the power issueLuis Pardo
Dell | Alienware Technical Support
Opening your case and/or replacing parts yourself does not void your warranty, check our disassemble videos on YouTube
Quickest way to get support from Dell: Twitter via @AlienwareTech or Facebook.com/Alienware using the "message" link.
I can't always reply to PM's, please for extra assistance use any of the Facebook and Twitter links

Just a follow up. I called back (4th call) and they were able to straiten out the warranty transfer.
The Power Brick and Battery were "bad" according to the tech they dispatched. After replacing both, i was back in business.
Not the greatest experience with all of the warranty run-around, but they did get me back up and running, so im satisfied.
Thanks for all of the responses.
