i might order an m18x from xoticpc instead, i know dell owns alienware, but it gives me a little more peace of mind knowing that xotic will "put it through its paces" before sending it to me.

Re: Who has an order in for an M18x with 680m SLI?
Thanks to this thread! I checked my manifest at order time and a was slated for a 240 watt supply. This was on July 5th. I asked the rep to change it prior to completeing the order.
So it is still not automatic, even though the web site order quotes 330 watt

Re: Who has an order in for an M18x with 680m SLI?
Yup... made it through 7 reps I think so far, and the only thing they all agree on is that they cannot change the manifest while the status is "In Production".
1 of them believes the correct power adapter should ship anyway, but even he said to contact him if I receive the wrong one to get another shipped out in 24-48 hours (thus losing my faith in the first part of his statement). Since the count is 6 to 1 not in his favor, I'm just getting amped up to rage all next week...

Re: Who has an order in for an M18x with 680m SLI?
Don't wait Tommy - if your order does not show the correct power adapter demand that you be sent the correct one the same day your laptop ships with next day delivery. Don't ask - tell them you will not accept anything less.
For the amount of money we are spending 'maybe' and 'probably should' is just simply not good enough. Do not settle for anything less than what you need for your computer to work perfectly.
My rep actually has a reminder set up in his Outlook that he checks every morning to see if my order has shipped. The day he sees that its shipped he's planning on overnighting me the correct power supply.
This is not that huge a request to make, but it IS huge that he took care of it right away for me. I'm sorry you've had such a bad run so far with reps. Some of them really are amazing.

Re: Who has an order in for an M18x with 680m SLI?
I do have one (Rachid filling in for Rev while on vacation) that has promised to do so when my laptop reaches shipping status. If the laptop actually does arrive with the 330W adapter, I wouldn't mind paying for the second (which, interestingly enough, is an option NO ONE approached me with).

Re: Who has an order in for an M18x with 680m SLI?
Currently, all the alternatives to the Killer are dual (mimox2) Antenna. Only the Killer has 3 installed as far as I can see.
I ordered the killer fron Dell, it is worth 30 bucks to me NOT to have to open up the machine to install the 3rd mimo antenna wire. They are difficult to get (eBay) and you have to locate behind the LCD etc. There are some vids on utube on how to do it.
