    Default M18x write off

Finally got my hands on my M18x (refurbed) last week - couldn't wait to compare it to my m17x r3 so first thing enable SLI & 3DMark it. Which started causing it to reboot continuously or show the bsod (only happens when enabling SLI)

Got a dell engineer out who replaced the secondary gpu but with no luck - a quick call to dell later to tell them it needs a new motherboard & both gpus, they've refused as its basically a rebuild & will either be offered a refund or a new one

Waiting for the call on Tuesday (not sure how it'll go down), has anyone had this before? ...curious to know what replacement they'll offer

It's guaranteed you'll get a equal or better one. If you get anything less, then complain and expect major upgrades due to their major screw-up. Had it happen to me on my M17x. It sucks they screw up like this, but they really know how to make it up to a customer when they mess up.

I trust they will take care of you. Don't be disappointed if you don't receive upgrades that you did not pay for. That does not happen in all cases, and when it does it is normally only after ongoing unresolved issues and multiple failed attempts to resolve the issue. Even then, they are not something anyone is entitled to receive. Let us know how it turns out. *OFFICIAL* M18x R1/R2 Owner's Lounge Thread
